    😍 FAMILY 😍 Last weekend was the first Muddy Dog Challenge for Battersea of 2024, with Elodie Hall Ruiz doing a spectacular job of delivering the event in Crystal Palace Park. I was delighted to be able to visit the event and catch up with our team and clients with my youngest son in tow. I love being able to show my family what we get up to and it helps that it usually involves stunning countryside and green spaces, happy smiling people and, of particular excitement to him, a vast array of vehicles and trailers 🚗🚐🚛. Our industry can be hard work and often involves taking time away from family at weekends and evenings, so if there is an opportunity every now and again to enjoy family time while working, then it's an opportunity to grab! We embrace this as a team when we can, so I've shared with you here some of our extended Gladiator Events : Certified B Corp team who we are grateful to share time with now and again while working 🤗. 1 & 2. Felix helping with some signage at the weekend, and recovering with pizza 🍕 3. Felicity enjoying the Norfolk coast with her family on a trek recce ⛵ 4. Stuart's little helpers on the snack run for a team training day 🧺 5. Mum and daughter time for Harriet on a walk around one of our beautiful parks in Birmingham 👩👧 6.     🎉FIRST EVENT 🎉 A huge congratulations to the team for our successful first event delivery of 2024! A special mention to Stuart Rodgers, who did a brilliant job delivering his first event for us since joining our HQ team and to Elodie Hall Ruiz for supporting him. Thank you team for your amazing hard work....now on to the next! 'Couldn't fault it! A perfect event!!' 'Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for organising a brilliant Trek 24 on Saturday. We have received brilliant feedback from the Trekkers' 'Absolutely loved this event. The Birthday card and badge was a lovely touch. I can't wait to see the photos.     👷♀️ Team Training & Collaboration 👷♂️ We held our training day for all our Account and Event Managers yesterday and what a valuable day it was! Our season kicks off in less than a month and this was a brilliant chance for us to get together to train on all things Kit, Operations and Health & Safety. Here are some of the things we got up to: 🎭 Welcome to the day and team activity thanks to Elle (sadly no images of this as they would have been entertaining to see!) 🎪 Checking all our charity branded kit to ensure the whole team understands how to safely rig and de-rig. This also allows us to check our build instructions and safety briefings for staff are up to date. ⚡ Training run by Stuart on use of our generators and electrics, as well as general instructions on how to look after all our equipment and stow away safely. 🚚 Van Packing Drills run by Elodie - it's critical to ensure we're packing kit away safely, to keep the kit, the vehicle and the driver safe. We have to consider weight distribution, maximum weight limits, access (thinking about what we need to get out of the van immediately on arrival being easily accessible), and order to load items to make best use of the space. 🍕 Food managed by Harriet - absolutely critical to the success of any event, as we all know.... The sunshine was a HUGE bonus ☀ 🕵♂️ Table Top Activities run by Rebecca - in groups we ran through 8 different real life scenarios, to stress test our emergency procedures, ensuring that we are all familiar with actions to take in different scenarios, but also that our plans are effective. This is such a valuable activity to run and always results in little tweaks being made to plans. 👩🏫 GE ways of working, staff and volunteer welfare and explanation of our B Corp Certification and how it affects the way we work, run by Felicity and Sarah - our staff and volunteer team are absolutely integral to the event and we want to provide the best working environment we can for them. 🏠 Tour of our storage unit run by Stu, including orientation of kit and drills on maintaining kit in its best condition. Thank you so much to the whole team for their enthusiasm, commitment and input into the day. 2024 Season....we're ready for you! 💪 #training #teamwork #teambuilding #eventprofs #charityevents #bringon2024

Ross Worthington from RAW Adventures will be asking the question: how responsible and sustainable is the National 3 Peaks challenge? He'll look at this iconic national fundraising event and ask if some challenge events in the UK’s mountains and national parks are really still really the best options for everyone.   • 🤝 TEAM CONNECTION🤝 Last Monday, we met for our two-weekly team connection day in London and celebrated being a team of 8! Gladiator Events is now proud to call these 8 superhumans the team that powers our events and that keep us at the top of our game. Team is everything for us, and this is a particularly special one.
