Today Glasgiven Contracts was proud to participate in the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity #Makeitvisible Tour currently being held across UK and Ireland Construction Sites. The #Makeitvisible team visited our Shimna Integrated College site in Newcastle, Co. Down and delivered an informal and informative 'Toolbox Talk' to everyone on site, focusing on the importance of looking after our health and wellbeing. All subcontractors and operatives on site had the opportunity to attend the session during a full 1 hour stand down during which sausage rolls were provided by the school for everyone on site. #construction #mentalhealth #team #constructionindustry #constructionworkerssupport

Glasgiven Contracts was pleased to participate in Engineers Week recently. We volunteered to take groups of children totaling 120 through our construction site as part of a series of events being held at Shimna Integrated College, Newcastle to mark the occasion. We hope our tours were informative and inspiring for the children. For the older children, it was a great opportunity for them to see how their new school will be formed. Some of the primary school children may not attend Shimna Integrated College and may not receive such an opportunity to visit a live construction site.
