It was an honour to visit Windsor Castle yesterday with my family to receive this award. I was delighted that HRH The Princess Royal was on duty for the investiture ceremony as she kindly visited Goonhilly in 2022 and took the time to speak to all the members of staff on site. She was keen to hear how the company has grown since her visit and all the new missions being supported, including three lunar landings, and support for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, European Space Agency - ESA, Intuitive Machines and iSpace, Inc. This award is recognition of all the hard work done by my wonderful colleagues. It may come as news to some that I am moving on from my role at Goonhilly, although I remain keenly interested as a joint owner of the company. As I move on to interests in the exciting and adjacent world of AI, I've been reflecting that this started for me in 1985 when I was programming digital signal processors. Digital filters and FFTs are the bedrock of AI. Adding business, entrepreneurial and government knowledge to the mix I'm soon to announce my next venture...

India's Aditya-L1 solar observatory has helped scientists to predict the timing of a coronal mass ejection (CME), with the finding described as "crucial for the world". We’re proud to have provided communications support for the mission, alongside our friends at ESA, since its launch last year.
