At this week’s Space-Comm Expo in London, Richard Branson has expressed his ambition for Virgin Galactic to launch space tourism flights from the UK - and Spaceport Cornwall is ready to explore the possibilities. A brilliant morning of collaboration, insights, and innovation at our latest Data & Aerospace Networking Event! 🚀 Yesterday, we gathered at University of Exeter Penryn Campus, welcoming industry leaders, researchers, and businesses to discuss the future of space skills, materials innovation, and extreme environment research. 🔹 Heidi Thiemann (Space Skills Alliance) shared insights into the evolving space workforce and the skills shaping the sector. 🔹 Chris Isaac (SpaceAM) explored the mission behind advanced materials innovation for space applications. 🔹 Sven Parris (Blue Abyss Global) provided a deep dive into extreme environment research and its impact on space technology. It was fantastic to welcome new faces, hear from Cornwall Space Cluster members, and learn more about the support available from European Space Agency - ESA and the Space Skills Alliance.
