We were proud to see Charlotte Hopkinson our Head of Sustainability & CSR speaking on a panel at the EG ESG Summit earlier this week where she discussed the LandAid BTR Pathfinder project with LandAid CEO Paul Morrish. This innovative project provides operators in the BTR sector with the opportunity to come together and make a real difference by providing homes to young people at risk of homelessness. Grainger is proud to support this initiative by providing affordable accommodation in BTR. The social impact from the programme is equivalent to £7 from every £1 invested and this forms part of Grainger’s commitment to creating positive social value for our customers and local communities. Charlotte said: "It was great to speak at the ESG summit. Initiatives such as LandAid’s Pathfinder Project are vital for providing support for young people ready to take their next steps into independent living and at Grainger, we are proud to be part of this, and our teams have really enjoyed welcoming our first residents.” #EGESGSummit #LandaidPathfinderProject #BTR #ESG #socialimpact

🤝We’re delighted to be joining forces with our charity partner LandAid and the wider BTR sector to provide vital homes for young people facing homelessness. 🏠The Pathfinder Project is supporting young people to take their first step towards building a stable, independent future by offering homes that are not only affordable but part of an existing community and finished to a high standard, too. By providing a sustainable, supportive, and empowering environment this important initiative will change the lives of young people allowing them to move on from temporary accommodation. We have already welcomed two residents into their new homes as part of this project and we’re proud to be a part of this pivotal industry movement. Helen Gordon, Grainger's Chief Executive, said: “As a sector, we are a force for good, providing much needed, high quality and well managed homes. Through LandAid’s Pathfinder Project, we are working together to help tackle the urgent issue of youth homelessness in the UK.”

Here at Grainger we’re passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and what better way to celebrate our diverse workforce than through the sharing of food. During a special ED&I lunch we shared delicacies from several continents as a way of celebrating our team’s wide range of cultures. The event is a great example of how we are supporting ED&I at work by ensuring that colleagues can get involved and share their experiences and backgrounds with one another.

📢 Today we start our ⭐Get Active for Grace⭐ fundraising challenge. Across two weeks, over 140 colleagues from Grainger will be getting active, helping us virtually cover the distance from London to Milton Keynes, via all our office and site locations across the UK (c.1548km). ❤️ 💜 We are doing this to raise funds for Grace Fiske, who, until recently, was our Assistant Resident Services Manager at Enigma Square in Milton Keynes. Sadly, in June, at the age of just 27, Grace received the devastating news that she has Aggressive Motor Neurone Disease (MND). 💰 Grace’s friends have set up a fundraising page to support Grace as her needs change over time. The funds will provide an extra layer of financial support to ensure she has the best equipment, care and comfort moving forwards. If you’d like to support Grace, you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/ePw5swBY 🏃♂️ 👟 🧘♂️ 🏊♀️ We’d also like to say a huge thank you to the GoJoe team, who have been hugely supportive in making Get Active for Grace happen, and in making it both interactive and fun. Our colleagues are using the GoJoe digital fitness tracker to connect teams, record activity, track progress and earn rewards. A special thanks to Jack Williams who has held our hands throughout, but also to the wider GoJoe team: Giosanne Rosales, Will Turner and Phil Steele 🍀 Good luck to all Grainger colleague's participating! #peopleattheheart #onegrainger #charity #fundraising #community #GoJoe

Grainger welcomes the UK Government’s Renters’ Rights Bill🏡💼 Helen Gordon, our Chief Executive commented on the Government's recently announced Renters’ Rights Bill: “We fully support raising standards for renters and firmly believe renters should be protected against rogue landlords. We are pleased that the Government have prioritised housing since the election and are seeking to raise standards in the Private Rental Sector through timely publication of the Renter’s (Rights) Bill. The underlying pressures facing the housing sector in the UK are due to an undersupply of homes of all tenures, and it is essential that the Government ensures these reforms do not undermine their ambitions for continued investment into the housing market and supply of new homes. We are pleased that the proposals do not include rent controls, a recognition that they are more damaging than helpful for renters in the long run. We will continue to work with Government and policymakers to ensure that proposals protect both renters and responsible landlords like Grainger.” 🏡✨ Link to our full statement: https://lnkd.in/egTpJjsW #HousingReform #UKhomes #RealEstate #AffordableHousing #PrivateRental #HomeOwnership #UKHousingMarket #SustainableDevelopment #FutureHomes #NewGovernment #ReformProposals
