Last week, BBP Members had the opportunity to visit The Featherstone Building as part of the BBP Site Visit Programme, hosted by Derwent London and Buro Happold. This 126,700 sq ft industrial-inspired workspace in Old Street showcases cutting-edge sustainability and occupant well-being features. During the tour, attendees explored the building’s key environmental credentials, including: 🏆BREEAM Outstanding for both basebuild and fit-out  🌿 LEED Platinum certification and fit-out on track for WELL Platinum ⚡ Net zero carbon construction on completion and utilising the basebuild Cat A as well as sourcing low carbon materials the fit-out achieved a super low 75 kgCO2e/m2 ⚡ NABERS UK 5-star target for Buro Happold fit-out  🏡 EPC A rating ❄️ Low-carbon design with materials passporting used in the fit-out  ☀️ Efficient façade, maximising natural light while reducing solar gain 🔗 Smart building technologies, enhancing energy management and operational efficiency It was a great opportunity for members to exchange insights on best practices in sustainable design and building performance.
