🌳🌳A Successful Meeting on Community-Led Healthcare Innovation🌳🌳 On Wednesday the 12th of march 2025, I had the honor of welcoming Sir Richard Douglas, Non-Executive Director at the Department of Health and Social Care and Chair of the NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (ICB), to Headlinerz Barbershop—the birthplace of Thursday Night Jollof. We had a highly productive discussion on Ndukauba CIC’s initiatives and the NHS’s long-term goals, with a focus on: 🌳Scaling Thursday Night Jollof as a community-led health intervention 🌳Housing reform as a health strategy to improve well-being and reduce NHS costs 🌳A new performance-based funding model for sustainable community impact. Sir Richard’s engagement and insightful feedback reinforced the importance of innovative, grassroots solutions in shaping the future of healthcare. MAX RATINGS to my incredible team for making this meeting a success, and to Simon Ossai, FCIArb for his invaluable support and expertise. This is just the beginning —We hope for Thursday Night Jollof to become part of national health strategy, and we welcome partners who share our vision for sustainable, preventative healthcare solutions.
