This month we went local!! Over 350 attendees came together at the first ever Ambitious Essex Business Summit. More than 175 businesses and organisations attended the event at Hylands House. The themes of the day were grow, innovate and connect. Councillor Tony Ball, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Education Excellence, Lifelong Learning and Employability, welcomed guests. Paralympian and Essex business owner Danny Crates then addressed attendees. He shared his Paralympic story and experience as the owner of a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) in Essex. One to attend again!!

Congratulations Catherine L., it's great to see you practice what we preach! Continual learning and development is key to growth and elevation. What new skills could you commit to developing this Q4? #developmentIsPower #personalDevelopmentQueenie

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to secure my Diploma in Business and Personal Coaching from the Irish Lifecoach Institute. I signed up for the course expecting to develop some coaching skills but I got so much more than that. Firstly I gained a new appreciation for what coaching really is and how important it is for EVERYONE. And I also met a great bunch of people in the process. I'm looking forward to taking my learnings into my personal and professional life as I work towards my International Coaching Federation accreditation. If you've ever had a challenge or goal you want to work on and just can't quite get there yourself, coaching could be for you - drop me a line if you're curious what it's all about!

"Follow your passion" is bad career advice. You need more than just passion to succeed. Pursuing a career based solely on passion, Without considering market demand… Is dangerously bad advice to give. By the same token, following just the money is also unwise. That's not a purpose that will drive you long-term. So what should you do? You need to experiment a little bit: ↳ You need to find out what you're good at. ↳ You need to find out what you can get paid for. ↳ But most importantly, you need to find out what you enjoy. In this scenario, I can't recommend an Ikigai highly enough. It essentially translates to "a reason for being". It comprises 4 aspects: 🫶 What you love (passion) ✅ What you are good at (profession) 🌍 What the world needs (mission) 💰 What you can be paid for (vocation) It is entirely achievable to find something that ticks all four. Find something that fits all four, and swim in that direction. Don't worry about not knowing what you want right now. Part of the fun is discovering what sparks your light. Have you tried an Ikigai before? I'd love to know, share below ⬇️ ♻️ Repost this to provide career guidance to your network. One of our UK-based Sales Trainer's Stacey Taylor is on the road again with another face-to-face Sales Methodology workshop. Tomorrow is the start of the final quarter of 2024... are your sales teams ready for it?!

I'm spending part of this week in rainy London, facilitating another sales methodology workshop, is all about MEDDPICC. The other part of my week will be spent chasing my toddler around soft play - It's all about balance! 😃 Early in my career I was able to make sales without a 'process', or 'strategy' (we're going back over 20 years!) Now things have changed... I'd be lost without my processes. Looking forward to the week ahead - rain or shine! Happen Training #makeithappen #dowhatyoulove

We’re looking forward to hearing more about your journey Michelle Obende 😎🤓😎

Just finished the co-active leadership experience which I signed up for to expand my leadership toolkit for helping clients of Happen Training. I highly recommend it for everyone because it’s not your traditional leadership course! I’ve learnt skills to grow my whole self too 🙌🏾 One of the first concepts I was given is an important distinction to any other leadership course I’ve been on over the years: we are all leaders 😎 Here are 10 other nuggets I walked away with, including some shared from my fellow participants too 🙏🏾: ✨ We all need to have the capacity to say “ouch” and “oops” ✨ As leaders we are responsible for our world and the world of our teams - we sometimes have to grow capacity to feel comfortable with that ✨Responsibility is a choice ✨We often have many of the skills needed already to be great leaders; We use them in other areas of our lives; Growing capacity is often about learning how to use them in other situations to expand our range ✨Our cup needs to be full/fuller to serve others ✨ Being a leader is different from being a coach; As leaders, we have to do the heavy lifting to activate the growth in others ✨ We don’t always have to be the one with all the answers, sometimes the answer is to create space for others to grow from their own capacity and desire ✨Leadership is so much more than leading in the front (bringing people along) and leading behind (serving). There is also leader within, leader beside, and leader in the field ✨Live in your bravery, and then build on it And the best one for me as a recovering perfectionist… ✨Focus on growing your capacity not on reaching perfection Thank you Lori Shook and Catherine Stagg-Macey for teaching me lots of Co-active concepts over the years to help accelerate my growth. I feel really lucky to be on my journey of learning even more tools to deepen my toolkit range to help others! Stay tuned for more nuggets as I complete different modules over the next few months 😎 If your interested in coaching with me, and haven’t signed up to our waiting list to benefit from the offer already, it’s not too late: https://lnkd.in/ekGTuaV4 Finally, my leader within is a dolphin called Rupert, what’s yours? #sharingiscaring #mypersonalcupisfull #expandingmytoolkit #comeon95ers💪🏾
