"I chose an apprenticeship because I knew that college wasn’t the right path for me; I wanted to leave the school environment behind. I decided on a Customer Service apprenticeship because I have always been quite shy. I thought this would be a great opportunity to interact with more people and build up my confidence. I started my apprenticeship in printing services, where I met many wonderful people who made me feel welcome. I have truly enjoyed this experience, as it has provided me with valuable skills in a work environment and helped me connect with new people. After nearly a year in my apprenticeship, I needed to apply for a permanent job. I applied for the Operational Support Assistant position with HTAE because I believed it would be a fantastic opportunity to utilise the customer service skills I had been developing. Since joining HTAE in July, I have been working with my new colleagues to learn even more skills necessary for my new role. This week I received the exciting news that I have achieved a Distinction in my Level 2 Customer Service! This accomplishment has motivated me even more to continue my journey in the customer service field and to take on new challenges."
