So proud of the Hill Dickinson LLP Birmingham office for completing our first ever fasting day challenge. It was testing at times (maybe we got a little hangry mid afternoon) but so rewarding to spend the evening together enjoying amazing food and reflecting on the day. We also made donations of food to the local food bank! A huge thank you to everyone who took part and the Hill Dickinson LLP Multicultural Networking Group for the support

Hill Dickinson Fasting Day Challenge🌙 Another successful year of sharing a snippet of my religious obligations with colleagues and having them join me - and millions of Muslims across the country - in observing Ramadan. A huge shout-out to my colleagues who participated! I was really impressed with the Leeds office and how the majority managed to abstain from food and water for the day. Same time next year! 🙌🏾😆 It’s truly a privilege to bring my authentic self to work and have the opportunity to discuss the meaning behind fasting, reflecting on connections to a higher purpose beyond the rush of everyday corporate life. A big thank you to everyone who helped with setup, cleanup, and of course to the Hill Dickinson LLP Multicultural Networking Group for their continued support.

Fasting Day Challenge at Hill Dickinson! 🌙 Yesterday, we successfully held our annual fasting day challenge and it was incredible to see so many colleagues participating. The day culminated in a warm and lively gathering where we broke our fast together and it was a truly special moment. Seeing the excitement when we announced this year's challenge was truly heartwarming. Many returning participants embraced it once again, and we were delighted to welcome new faces to the initiative. The reason I love this initiative is because it encourages colleagues to step out of their comfort zones, try something new, and foster meaningful discussions about experiences they might never have considered before. Organising this event for the Manchester office has been truly rewarding. Thank you to the Multicultural Networking team and to everyone who took part in the challenge!

We're delighted to share that we have achieved top tier ranking for Shipping in Greece in the Chambers and Partners Europe Guide 2025. Previously, Chambers has featured two Shipping categories – one for Shipping Litigation, for which we were ranked in band 1, and one for Shipping Finance, for which we held a band 2 ranking - meaning we are thrilled to have moved up a position in this area. The team has received excellent feedback including: • "Hill Dickinson's team is available and resolves matters with a commercial approach, which is necessary in our business.” • “I appreciate the firm's responsiveness in the context of strict timeframes, as well as the clear and structured manner in which it advises.” • “No matter what the opponents throws at us, Hill Dickinson can be relied upon to quickly adapt and meet all challenges, leading to a successful outcome.” Head of office Jasel Chauhan and partners Timon Karamanos, Dimitris Anassis and Maria Moisidou have each received fantastic testimonials as notable practitioners in this year's guide. Many congratulations to our colleagues, with thanks as always to our clients. #Chambers #Greece #Shipping

The beginning of 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Health and Safety Executive (‘HSE’), which has since seen many changes, especially with regard to fines and prosecutions. The FCA has recently confirmed that it will not be proceeding with its original ‘name and shame’ proposals following concerns raised by a significant number of stakeholders, although it does plan to continue with other aspects of the proposals that were of much less concern. We're delighted to share that our Leeds office, designed by Incognito, is a finalist in the ‘Projects Under 1,500m²’ category at the prestigious British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards 2025 for the Northern region. A significant part of our success is directly attributable to the stylish, comfortable and highly adaptable working environment Incognito helped us create, which has had a direct impact on collaboration, productivity and employee wellbeing. The fact that we’re seeing up to up to 90% in-person attendance on any given day in Leeds, while being an employer that strongly supports flexible working, is an outstanding testament to the quality of the office environment and the power of getting it right. Thank you to our partners Incognito, Avid Property Consultants (UK) Ltd, Overbury, Kennedy Redford and Rider Levett Bucknall RLB for their incredible efforts in delivering this project. The winners will be revealed at the Northern Awards Dinner on Thursday 3 April at The Kimpton Clocktower, Manchester. Please wish us luck!
