We are extremely proud of our Hovis colleagues who participated in the first ever GroceryAid Netball Tournament. With over 13 grocery organisations coming together to raise funds for GroceryAid, lots of fun was had by many. Our team said it was great to have fun and meet up with others from across the industry. Captained by Sophie Tomkins and fueled with sandwiches made from our new Hovis® Farmhouse Batch, as part of the lunch, complemented by other great brands, the team played brilliantly! 🥪 A huge thanks to GroceryAid and to Weetabix for hosting the event. PLUS, the team then arranged for the unused loaves to be gifted to an organisation which supports homeless and vulnerable people in Coventry, meaning that 300 extra sandwiches could be made and distributed to people who really need it and importantly ensured there was no wastage! One gentleman even commented that the Hovis® Farmhouse Batch bread was the best he'd ever tasted! Thank you Aman Uppal and Tom P. for organising this donation. 🍞 👏 Thank you to our amazing players Sophie Tomkins Emma Richards (Smith) David Ferris George Fenn Helen Stares Donna Hannah MCIPD Stuart Farren Matthew Carcary for taking part. #groceryaid #fundraising

About us
Welcome to Hovis. We are the proud guardians of over 130 years of baking experience that make up our iconic and much-loved brand. We produce bread and bakery products created with Hovis goodness at the heart of each and every one. We deliver around 1.3million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products. We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. Our success is a result of the hard work of our people; they are experts in their field whether it’s baking, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or the many departments within the central functions team based in our head office in High Wycombe. We are a values-led business and expect our colleagues to live, breathe, and embed Quality, Accountability, and Trust into their ways of working. In 2020 Hovis was acquired by Endless Plc in an agreement that will allow us to make significant investment into the business infrastructure, grow our product range and achieve further growth in the bakery category.

Congratulations to our Avonmouth team for smashing a 5 million steps challenge, an initiative that not only promoted health and wellbeing but also supported the site's chosen charity, the Great Western Air Ambulance. Alongside supporting national charities such as FareShare and GroceryAid, Hovis® colleagues are passionate about supporting hundreds of charities throughout the country. Whether it's raising funds for them through activities or donating hundreds of thousands of loaves of bread, Hovis® colleagues care about making a positive impact in our communities. #charity #wellbeing
In July, my colleagues at Avonmouth took on a 1 million steps (500 miles) challenge to promote walking, health and raise funds for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. As more and more colleagues signed up, including warehouse staff, drivers, hygiene team, and the site leadership, the challenge quickly grew too into a 5 million steps challenge! Thank you to everyone who took part, we raised funds for the Air Ambulance and a few of us got out and moving a bit more!! Personally, the camaraderie, motivation and support has helped me to lose over a stone in weight and generally feel more energetic. To top the month off we celebrated the achievement with a "healthier" treat...lots of fruit! Hovis Ltd #Avonmouth #healthierlife.
