Earlier today, I had the opportunity to participate in the “Intellectual Property in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” conference in Budapest, joining a panel with András SZINGER (Artisjus), Angela Mills Wade (European Publishers Council (EPC)), Emilie Anthonis (Motion Picture Association), and Ioan Kaes (AEPO-ARTIS), moderated by Christophe Geiger. Thank you to Peter Labody and the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the invitation. 💬 The discussion focused on how #AI impacts the creative sector, with a particular emphasis on #copyright and the challenges rightsholders face in this environment. The conversation touched on many points we explore in our #MusicInTheEU: A Global Opportunity report. As AI continues to evolve, enforcing existing copyright laws to prevent unauthorised use of creative works is critical. The panel highlighted how AI can bring new creative tools to artists, but also warned of the risks posed by unauthorised content use. These issues are at the core of the recommendations we make in our report. For a deeper look at how AI impacts the music industry and what’s needed to safeguard creativity, you can read the report here 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/e2eftnz4
