Earlier this October, I had the distinct honour of attending the Institute of Hospitality Institute of Hospitality’s Fellows' Dinner at the iconic Royal Air Force Club, where I was awarded the Fellowship - our industry's highest recognition. Reflecting on my journey, which began in 2001 as a Student Member, I'm deeply humbled to have my contributions acknowledged in this way. A heartfelt thanks to the exceptional team - Emma Ellis MIH and Rosalyn Berry FIH - for the warm invitation and flawless organization of this memorable evening. My gratitude extends to Robert Richardson, FIH MI, and Martin Traynor OBE, FIH, MIoD, for this remarkable opportunity, and to Tej Walia FIH MI, Aseem Chaudhary, and Akhilesh Bahl for their thoughtful nomination. Congratulations to all the new Fellows and a special mention to Paul Gilley FIH for his well-deserved Outstanding Contribution award. Appreciation also goes to the Royal Air Force Club team for the exquisite meal and outstanding service that made the evening even more memorable.
