Last year, we were thrilled to announce that J S Wright had secured the Mechanical and Electrical Services Installation contract for Phase 1 of the Tustin Estate development. Today, we're excited to share an update with impressive arial photographs of the site's transformation.   The two residential blocks, Block C (9 storeys) and Block G (13 storeys), are taking shape, with key sustainability elements like the waste-to-energy district heating network, solar panels, air-source heat pumps, and high-insulation building fabric well underway. Mechanical and electrical installations, including above-ground drainage, apartment sprinklers, mains cold water supply, domestic hot and cold water, and ventilation systems, are progressing, alongside electrical fire detection, security systems, and façade lighting to ensure top standards of safety and comfort.   We’re proud to be working alongside BOUYGUES UK and Southwark Council to bring sustainable, energy-efficient living spaces to the community.

We are thrilled to share that the McArthur’s Yard scheme in Bristol has been named Development of the Year at the recent Insider Media South West Awards!   As the proud mechanical works subcontractor for this incredible project, we at J S Wright would like to congratulate Hill Group UK and everyone involved in making this development a huge success. Our Senior Design Engineers Dylan Latham and Thomas Hollywood MCIBSE recently visited the Solid Energy A/S factory in Denmark, a leading manufacturer of large bespoke air source heat pumps.   During their visit, they were given a comprehensive tour of the factory and Solid Energy’s manufacturing process, as well as a visit to a live district heating network to see the Solid Energy air source heat pumps in action.    The visit also involved witnessing the IO testing of the AWB252SP unit that will shortly be dispatched to our Dagenham Green Scheme with Hill Group UK.   The AWB252SP will be the lead heat source at Dagenham Green, initially serving 935 apartments and associated commercial spaces across 3 buildings.    Eventually, there will be 3 x AWB252SP’s at Dagenham Green that will serve 3,502 apartments, commercial spaces and a school across 20 buildings!   The AWB252SP will range from 1,317 kW at -5°C to 2,192 kW at 15°C, with COPs as high as 4.13 providing a heat fraction as high as >98% on the development.   Dylan and Thomas also had time to visit the ThermoNova Factory in Aars to witness the manufacturing process and components of the Nova 110 ASHP modules, which are proposed to be used at St Ann’s Scheme in London   Overall, the trip provided key insights into decarbonising energy production, and we very much look forward to the future of heat networks. #SustainableEnergy #HeatNetworks #AirSourceHeatPumps #GreenTechnology

We are excited to announce that J S Wright have secured the works for the St Ann's Phase 1A scheme, comprising of 234 new residential units.   Our scope of work includes a comprehensive range of Shell & Core services such as above-ground drainage, internal and external rainwater systems, BCWS plant and distribution, CAT 5 and external watering points, ASHP plantroom, LTHW distribution, dry risers, residential sprinklers, BMS controls and mechanical works for the communal amenity space. Additional services include fire-rated lobby ductwork ventilation, water treatment, and the testing and commissioning of systems.   For the apartment services, we will be providing LTHW services to PUCs, domestic water services, MVHR ventilation systems, final façade grill and FR duct termination, as well as testing of PUCs and PODs. House services will include LTHW services to ASHP and cylinders, domestic water services, MVHR ventilation systems, and the supply and installation of sanitaryware for traditional builds.   J S Wright will be responsible for both the design and installation of the mechanical services for this scheme, in partnership with Hill Group UK   We look forward to delivering a successful outcome for this exciting new development. #ResidentialDevelopment #MechanicalServices #StAnns #LondonDevelopment

We’re thrilled to share an update on the Kew Bridge Rise scheme with a stunning aerial photograph showcasing the site’s impressive transformation. The transformation of the former Citroen Garage in West London is progressing impressively, and the results are outstanding. When complete, the scheme will comprise of five buildings with heights up to 18 storeys with spectacular southerly views of the Thames and Kew Gardens. They will also include a new public square and significant investment in local infrastructure improvements. At J S Wright, we're proud to have co-ordinated with Hill Group UK in supporting a food drive for the The Trussell Trust, a charity working tirelessly to provide emergency food and support to people in need across the UK. The initiative, focused on addressing food insecurity in the local community near the Dagenham Green site, was a tremendous success.   With the help of contractors and partners, we’ve contributed to stocking the local food bank with essential items for families facing financial hardship during these challenging times.
