Updates

  • For this #throwbackthursday, we are taking a look at the difference in wish applications we received in 2019 and in 2024. The wishes we provide are personal for every child and can be anything and everything from essential household items, such as a washing machine or a bed to a weekend trip away to create new memories after the often, upsetting ones made in hospital. 💸 Each wish costs our Charity £500 and over the years our increase in wishes, means an even bigger increase in costs. 📈 In 2019/20, we received 337 wish applications and in 2023/24, we received of 702 applications. Molly Ollys do not receive any statutory funding so your donations are vital to help us keep providing wishes for children across the country with life-threatening illnesses. To make a donation, please visit https://lnkd.in/eFU-Uj4m. Thank you.

  • 5 year old Florence was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia back in 2022. After facing chemotherapy and living with this cancer for 2 years, her parents wanted Florence to have an incredible day at Lapland UK to celebrate her end of treatment! “She was over the moon when we told her about Lapland! It was simply magical. Such a nice experience for us all!! Florence had her last iv chemo on Monday. Today she will have her last oral chemo and tomorrow she finishes the last pulse of the (devil) steroids!!!! So this week feels emotionally and mentally heavy! Can't believe we made it!! Please don't stop doing what you do!! It means a lot!” Thank you to all of our supporters who make wishes for children like Florence come true!
