Last week, Jewson Partnership Solutions were busy supporting local schools, with Gavin Henderson, Social Value apprentice and Katie Davison, Contract Manager taking part in mock interviews at Kenton School and the Careers Fair at Benfield Primary School. Engaging with schools is a powerful way to make a difference. By connecting with students, we can:  Broaden horizons – introducing them to different industries and career paths. Raise aspirations – sharing real-life career journeys to inspire future ambitions. Develop skills & confidence – providing a safe space to practise interview techniques. Katie shared her experience: "I actually went to Kenton School myself, so it was great to return and see how the place has changed in the many years since I was a pupil. I was genuinely impressed with how many of the students not only had clear ideas about what they wanted to do after school but were also aware of the steps they need to take to achieve their goals. It's so encouraging to see such focus and ambition at such a young age. All in all, it was a fantastic day, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to give back to the school." Supporting the next generation of construction professionals! Samuel Sharpe and the team at Jewson Partnership Solutions Kettering donated three pallets of mixed tools, PPE, and consumables to Tresham College. This contribution will directly support Construction Apprentices as they develop their skills and build their careers.   Samuel Sharpe, Branch Manager, JPS Kettering, shared: "We are pleased to be able to support the students of Tresham as they continue on their construction courses and wish them well in their future studies. We look forward to an ongoing partnership, as supporting our local communities is something we at JPS are passionate about."   This donation, made in collaboration with North Northamptonshire Council, is a fantastic example of social value in action—helping to create real opportunities for young people in the construction industry.   Ellie Smith, Construction Apprentice Coach & Mentor, also expressed her appreciation for this meaningful contribution.   Great work, team! At Jewson Partnership Solutions, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. That’s why we’re proud to support our customer, GreenSquareAccord, by donating essential hygiene products to their Domestic Abuse Group, and their partnered NHS service, @Sparkbrook Children’s Zone who will be supporting the mums and babies who come through their clinics.   These donations will provide much-needed support to families and individuals facing difficult circumstances, helping them with the essentials so they can focus on rebuilding their lives. What a morning in sunny Aberdeen as we open our first Avail Housing Hub in Scotland. A great opportunity to connect customers and suppliers in our brilliant new branch, the first-ever dual offering with George Boyd UK. We are excited to partner with social housing providers in the north-east of Scotland to provide all the customer service they, and their tenants deserve and expect. We were proud to recently support Adra at Tŷ Gwyrddfai with an event aimed at educating local school pupils about careers in construction. The event welcomed around 70 pupils from several local schools, offering them hands-on activities and insights into construction, decarbonisation, and green skills. Our Partnership Account Manager, Connor Boyde, delivered a session highlighting the key skills needed for a career in our industry, along with practical CV and interview tips to help the pupils prepare for their future. It’s always a pleasure to help shape the future of construction, and we look forward to more opportunities to connect with this audience in 2025!
