  • We are thrilled to showcase some of our female talent from across the business this month as part of our Women into Homebuilding initiative 👷♀️ A diverse workplace allows for different ideas, as well as alternative perspectives, and a part of generating a diverse workforce is recognising the barriers in existence. It’s crucial that more women have the opportunity to build fulfilling careers in housebuilding. By supporting initiatives like the Women into Homebuilding programme, we’re not just building homes, we’re building a future where everyone can succeed. We hear from Aimee Duffy in Scotland, Natasha Nixon-Pallett in South Midlands, Jasmine Bosworth in East Midlands and Rebecca Blythe in the North East, around their careers in construction. There’s still time to apply for the Women into Homebuilding Spring 2025 intake. The application deadline is now Sunday 30th March, so why not find out more here - www.HBF.co.uk/WIHB #keepmoat #keepmoathomes #womenintohomebuilding #HBF #WIHB #constructionplacements #constructioncareers #diverseworkforce

  • Earlier this week the MCI Developments team were delighted to facilitate a visit by Angela Rayner MP, Deputy Prime Minister of the UK and Secretary of State for Housing Communities and Local Government, and The Rt Hon Rachel Reeves MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, alongside Homes England CEO Eamonn Boylan, and Your Housing Group CEO Jacque Allen, to its development at Bournes Bank in Stoke-on-Trent. The site which is being delivered by MCI for its client Your Housing Group, provided the perfect backdrop for an important announcement about vital funding for affordable housing. During the visit they shared the very welcome news of a £2 billion injection of new grant funding to deliver up to 18,000 new social and affordable homes. This initiative aims to help hardworking families secure safe and affordable housing, making the dream of home ownership a reality for more people across the country.   The Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister's visit underscores the Government’s commitment to delivering the biggest boost to affordable and social housing in a generation.   You can read more about the visit and announcement here - https://lnkd.in/eygFmYhW   #keepmoat #keepmoathomes #MCI #affordablehousing #newhomes #partnershipbuilding

  • Our East Midlands region were thrilled to launch the much anticipated West Bridgford Collection at Chateau Mews earlier this month 🎉 Nestled in the heart of West Bridgford, one of Nottingham’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, the development offers a diverse selection of executive 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes, as well as 2 bedroom apartments. The event was a success, seeing lots of interest, including a sale. As well as exploring The Clarendon and The Marlbourgh showhomes, guests got to enjoy coffee and cake from Café Allez and were given a chance to win a £100 voucher to spend at Escabeche – a fantastic restaurant just a stone's throw from the development. • Our Yorkshire West and Yorkshire East regions were thrilled to jointly sponsor the inaugural Wickersley 10K Race, raising money for The Children’s Hospital Charity. The event saw an impressive turnout of 900 runners, including several colleagues from Keepmoat. The event was organised by ‘Team Nick’, a group dedicated to fundraising in memory of Nick Walker, who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident outside Wickersley School. Since 2009, Team Nick has raised an incredible £115k for The Children’s Hospital Charity, supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital in going above and beyond its NHS provisions. Their efforts have included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, a coast-to-coast triathlon, and a challenging cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats. In 2024, Team Nick aimed to create a lasting legacy in Nick’s name by organising the Wickersley 10K, bringing the community together for a meaningful cause. So far, £25,000 has been raised. Well done to everyone involved 👏 #keepmoat #keepmoathomes #communitysupport #Wickersley10K #TeamNick #SheffieldChildrensHospital

  • Our Scotland region is thrilled to announce that contracts have been exchanged with Advance Construction for the purchase of land in the popular town of Shotts 🏘️ This marks a proud return to the town for Keepmoat, following the success of our previous development at Bertramfarm. The upcoming development will bring 295 high-quality homes to the community, offering a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom properties for private sale. This development will play a key role in supporting the region's growth and providing much-needed homes. A massive thank you to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life so far. This milestone reflects the incredible teamwork and dedication in securing such a significant site, already benefiting from planning approval for residential development. #keepmoat #keepmoathomes #contractsexchanged #landpurchased #newdevelopment #newhomes #newbuild #Shotts

  • Our North East region sponsored a charity family cup event at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park on Sunday, showcasing Newcastle United FC versus Liverpool FC to help raise money for Hazlewood Go and St Oswald’s Hospice ⚽ Many of us have heard of St Oswald’s Hospice and the fantastic work they do. They are a charity hospice based within the North East, providing specialist and expert care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions. They also educate as well as carry out research to help and improve palliative and end-of care. Hazlewood Go is a dedicated local charity, proudly established by Hazlewood Primary School. Their mission is to make a meaningful impact by enhancing school facilities, sponsoring days out for the children, and supporting various other initiatives. The event was enjoyed by 425 guests and raised over £10,000 which is being shared between the two local charities. #keepmoat #keepmoathomes #charityfootball #supportingcommunities #

  • We celebrated our Apprentices' achievements at the NHBC Annual Apprentice Graduation Event on 7th March 🎓 We were thrilled to see Ryley Mcbride, Bricklaying Apprentice in Yorkshire West awarded the NHBC Brickwork Apprentice of the Year, having gained a merit in L2 Apprenticeship Bricklaying. Ryley has also secured employment with one of our main brickwork contractors. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to his hard work and dedication. Nominated by the NHBC, Ryley joined the programme after not enjoying education and finding GCSE exams particularly challenging. But, with a will to succeed and a resolution to apply himself, he is now building a successful career in construction. We also celebrate Callum Quinn, Trainee Assistant Site Manager in Yorkshire West, and Bonita Mellors, Assistant Site Manager in Yorkshire East, who collected their qualification certificates for L2 Bricklaying and L4 Site Supervision, respectively. They are making great strides in their site management careers.
