A total of 15.8% reduction in total carbon emissions from the previous 12 months 🌱 🌎 Our sustainable initiatives are designed to meet growing demands, deliver commercial value, and continually improve our environmental and social impact. We delved into the latest Building Regulations, emphasising how to stay compliant with the Building Safety Act. The client’s vision was to achieve a high specification building for optimal occupant comfort. For this, we delivered: • Polar 100 Double Glazed frameless partitioning for acoustic performance • Sonik rebated and sliding doors for seamless integration • Tech panels for streamlined room booking and access control Afton Montgomery, Associate Director at Avison Young comments on our involvement: "From the project outset Komfort worked with the design team to develop the specifications for the glazed partitioning systems to suit the various functions in the office while complementing the palette of both the base build and the fit out." What an amazing turnout! 👏 “Call-In” is a series of working groups designed to develop best practices for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). This initiative, was set out by our very own Priti Gadani and Ellie Lawford who approached Eleanor Strange (AEW Architects), Louise Grimes (M1NT Studio Ltd), Matthew Gavin & Martina Mastrangeli (HORIZON fletcher|rae : architects and master-planners), Aida Ahmad & Frances Phillips (BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) and Jonah Speaks (Turner & Townsend) to lead on important subject matters. BDP’s Manchester Studio hosted the first “Call-In” session supported by Komfort Partitioning, drawing over 60 professionals from the architecture and design (A&D) community. This initiative, focused on EDI, launched with a powerful working group dedicated to Allyship. A huge thank you to Catalina Ionita and Alexander Esfahani at Chapman Taylor, for sharing their compelling personal stories on allyship and to everyone who attended. Key takeaways included defining allyship as proactive support and the importance of challenging biases.
