As our Creative Director Dominic Dugan explains, “We’re never going to try and create a home in the office. A home is really personal, and you can never come close to that. But if we can draw influence from the way the home works and operates, it’s a great way to elevate the user experience”. 🛋️ In a world of hybrid working, businesses must acknowledge that the office is competing with the ease of working from home. If wanting to encourage employees into the office, workspaces must go beyond functionality - combining comfort and flexibility, whilst offering opportunities for social connection and collaboration that remote work simply can’t replicate. Discover how office design is evolving in 2025 to make the workplace somewhere people want to be. 👇 https://ow.ly/YKT750UGTEa #FutureWorkplace #OfficeDesign #WorkplaceStrategy #HybridWork

The lines between residential and commercial design are becoming increasingly blurred. Residential and hospitality design concepts are now influencing workplace design, reshaping offices into spaces employees want to spend time in. Here are three key trends set to shape commercial office design in 2025: 🏘️ Resimercial design Incorporating softer furnishings, natural materials, and relaxed layouts to create environments that feel welcoming and encourage employees into the office. 🤝 Placemaking In a public design context, placemaking is the process of creating quality places where people want to live, work, play and learn. Commercially, it means designing spaces where your workers want to work – offices building community, creativity, and connection. 💙 Wellbeing From biophilic design and improved air quality to spaces that promote movement and mindfulness, wellbeing is becoming a cornerstone of workplace design, creating healthier, happier, and more engaged teams. Discover more about these trends in our latest insight 👉 https://ow.ly/vGFp50UEh8b #FutureOfWork #Placemaking #ResimercialDesign

We’re kicking off the new year with some very exciting news...after much anticipation, we’d like to introduce you to Oktra South’s new workspace at Bottle Works! 🎉 Launching in 2018, Oktra South began as a regional business with big ambitions. Over six years, the team evolved, eventually outgrowing their two previous spaces. They began searching for a new location that could serve not just as an office but also as a home, a showroom, and the face of Oktra South. With meeting rooms, breakout areas, and a boardroom, the office is equipped for all workstyles. The bar area, complete with a green marble-effect quartz countertop, stands out as a defining feature of the design. ✨ Oktra South Managing Director Michael Murray says, “the energy in the space is amazing, everyone’s proud of their office, and it’s a place people want to be”. Take a closer look for yourselves. 👇 https://ow.ly/SY9i50UBHRz #OktraSouth #OfficeFitOut #SustainableDesign

📢 Should employees have a say in office moves? When it comes to commercial real estate decisions, there are usually many stakeholders at the table, but should employees be one of them? According to research, 80% of HR professionals say they’d engage with employees when considering an office move. While it’s not feasible for large companies to involve every staff member, as Charlie Mirisola puts it, HR can play a more prominent role in shaping corporate conversation and, by extension, the real estate choices that align with business goals and employee satisfaction. 🎯 Employee-centric approaches don’t just benefit staff, they deliver tangible results for businesses, too. Gathering data on office usage, preferences, and workplace satisfaction can shape environments that enhance performance and drive success. Explore how employee-centric workplace strategies are redefining office design in our latest article. 🔗 https://ow.ly/p9C850UAX6B 🔗 #WorkplaceDesign #CommercialRealEstate #HR #EmployeeWellbeing
