🚴♂️ RoadPeace #NationalVictimMonth highlights and remembers the staggering number of people killed or injured on the road, the emergency services that respond to accidents on a daily basis and the families of crash victims. Earlier this year, Leigh Day participated in the annual #RoadPeacechallenge, where we cycled, ran and walked 1766 miles in honour of the 1766 people who were killed on our roads in 2022.

Major Legal Battle for Migrant Workers Against Dyson! A significant legal case is unfolding as 23 migrant workers and the estate of a deceased worker bring serious allegations against Dyson, claiming forced labour, false imprisonment, assault, and hazardous working conditions at a factory in Malaysia. The appeal hearing is scheduled for late November 2024 at the Court of Appeal. Initially, the High Court ruled in 2023 that the case should be heard in Malaysia. However, the workers, represented by international human rights law firm Leigh Day argue that the English courts should hear it, citing concerns about accessing justice in Malaysia. The workers allege Dyson knew about the poor conditions since 2019, following whistleblower reports. Dyson denies any wrongdoing, stating investigations found no substantiation.
