We are excited to announce that LCM will be presenting at the 20th International Rare Earths Conference in the USA next week! Since its first event in 2003 with just 60 delegates, the conference has grown significantly, now attracting over 300 participants each year. It has become a key platform for discussions on the future of rare earth materials. We’re looking forward to delivering our presentation, connecting with industry experts, and expanding our network as we contribute to shaping the future of the rare earth industry. Our sales team is looking forward to attending the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe taking place in a few weeks. Did you know that LCM supplies hydrogen storage alloys? We have a dedicated facility to produce a range of Hydrogen Storage alloys as a solid storage material for metal hydrides. What are hydrogen storage alloys? Hydrogen storage alloys, also known as metal hydrides, are materials that can store and release hydrogen gas through hydrogen absorption and desorption. These alloys are typically composed of metals such as titanium, zirconium, magnesium, and rare earth elements. Why are they important? The storage of hydrogen in metal hydrides is a promising technology for applications in hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen storage tanks, and portable hydrogen storage devices. It offers several advantages over other hydrogen storage methods, such as high volumetric and gravimetric hydrogen densities, improved safety, and reversible storage/release processes. Reach out to our sales team if you have an enquiry, we'd love to hear from you! 📧 general@lesscommonmetals.com #hydrogenstorage #metalhydrides #alloys #rareearths

📢 Introducing the REEValuate project! We are proud to announce a collaboration with Ionic Technologies (Ionic RE) and VACUUMSCHMELZE (VAC), which aims to produce high-quality NdFeB magnets using 100% recycled heavy and light rare earth elements (REEs) with full traceability. This crucial project is funded by the UK government via the Innovate UK's CLIMATES programme to support a circular economy for rare earth elements. We look forward to this collaboration! #rareearths #circulareconomy #NdFeB #CLIMATES

🧲 Rare Earth Mines, Magnets & Motors 2024 We were pleased to have our Chairman, Grant Smith, represent Less Common Metals during the "Pieces of the Puzzle: Metallization" panel at Adamas Intelligence’s event last week. At LCM, we are deeply committed to driving innovation in the production of rare earth alloys and metals. Our decades of experience have allowed us to supply essential materials like neodymium and praseodymium alloys, critical for advancing technologies in electric vehicles, renewable energy, and aerospace. With our recent expansion to include production of metals like dysprosium and terbium, we are addressing global needs for high-performance magnets and creating a more resilient supply chain for rare earths in Europe. As the rare earth market continues to evolve, we are leading efforts to establish sustainable and secure supply chains, reducing the world’s dependency on a single source for these vital materials. Thank you to all the panelists for an inspiring conversation, and to Adamas Intelligence for organising this key event. We are excited to continue shaping the future of the rare earth industry. #rareearths #greenrevloution #criticalmetals #supplychains

🧲 Rare Earth Mines, Magnets & Motors 2024 An insightful panel discussion on how magnetic momentum is rising outside of China. Industry leaders, including our very own Chairman, Grant Smith, shared key insights on the evolving landscape of magnetic materials and their global importance. The discussion offered valuable perspectives on supply chains, the growth of rare earth magnets, and how the EU and APAC regions are stepping up to meet rising demand. LCM is at the forefront of this with our main products being rare earth metals and alloys; neodymium (Nd), neodymium praseodymium (NdPr), neodymium iron boron (NdFeB), samarium cobalt (SmCo), dysprosium (Dy), terbium (Tb) and lanthanum (La). We also produce rare earth alloys for non-magnet applications such as speciality alloys and hydrogen storage alloys. To add, commercial scale volumes of Tb and Dy have been available for offtake agreements since 2023. If you have an enquiry please contact our sales team at general@lesscommonmetals.com.
