Llusern Scientific is pleased to announce that following a successful clinical evaluation the Lodestar UTI test can now be used to diagnose adult male patients with uncomplicated UTI. This is in addition to our existing clinical claim for diagnosing adult females with the same condition. Yesterday we visited Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which is evaluating Lodestar UTI in one of its labs. The evaluation is being led by Stuart Drazich-Taylor, an Academic Clinical Fellow in Microbiology with extensive experience in AMR prevention and who is actively looking for methods to reduce antibiotic usage. Stuart is using three Lodestar DX analysers in parallel during the evaluation and comparing results with those obtained from culture. We are always looking for new collaboration opportunities.
