A micro loan from us helped Cardiff get a new dining experience through ONJA, offering the taste of Tanzania. Justina John, self-confessed foodie and mum of two, used our loan to fund the fit-out of the African restaurant and takeaway on Barrack Lane. Justina, the Director, was raised in Tanzania but has lived in Cardiff for 25 years. She said: ‘My passion is food. I’ve always loved cooking and have fond memories of my childhood, helping my Mum in the kitchen at home. However, the time has never been right to leave a secure job. The loan ... has given me the confidence to take the leap of faith and follow my dreams. I feel like I was born to cook’. Fe wnaeth benthyciad micro gennym ni helpu Caerdydd i gael profiad bwyta newydd trwy ONJA, gan gynnig blas Tanzania. Defnyddiodd Justina John, sy'n ffan fwyd hunangyfaddef a mam i ddau o blant, ein benthyciad i ariannu'r gwaith o osod y bwyty Affricanaidd a'r siop tecawê ar Lôn y Barics. Magwyd Justina, y Cyfarwyddwr, yn Tanzania ond mae wedi byw yng Nghaerdydd ers 25 mlynedd. Meddai: ‘Fy angerdd yw bwyd. Rydw i wastad wedi bod wrth fy modd yn coginio ac mae gen i atgofion melys o fy mhlentyndod, yn helpu fy Mam yn y gegin gartref. Fodd bynnag, ni fu’r amser erioed i adael swydd ddiogel. Mae'r benthyciad ... wedi rhoi'r hyder i mi gymryd y naid ffydd a dilyn fy mreuddwydion. Rwy’n teimlo fy mod wedi cael fy ngeni i goginio’. Three new luxury lodges are now available to book at The Crown at Pantygelli, Abergavenny, following a £90,000 growth capital loan from us. The Crown is owned by Amy Norvill and Nicholas Clayton-Ford. The couple, who took over the popular pub and restaurant in June 2022, previously worked in hospitality at Hamilton Island, Queensland, Australia. The loan has helped fund the installation of three high-specification lodges, providing guests with a luxury glamping experience and stunning views of the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid peaks. This is our second investment, having previously provided a £110,000 loan in August 2023 to part-fund a new summerhouse for increased seating capacity. ‘We were originally introduced to the Development Bank by Business Wales. Their collective support has really helped us to evolve our offering with the installation of the new summerhouse and the lodges,’ said Nick and Amy. ‘The next step is to develop a retail business while constantly investing in our team so that we can continue to attract and retain the very best people who share our commitment to delivering great customer service’. Mae tri chaban moethus newydd bellach ar gael i’w harchebu yn The Crown ym Mhantygelli, Y Fenni, yn dilyn benthyciad cyfalaf twf o £90,000 gennym ni. Amy Norvill a Nicholas Clayton-Ford sy'n berchen ar y Goron. Roedd y cwpl, a gymerodd drosodd y dafarn a'r bwyty poblogaidd ym mis Mehefin 2022, yn flaenorol yn gweithio ym maes lletygarwch yn Ynys Hamilton, Queensland, Awstralia. Mae'r benthyciad wedi helpu i ariannu'r gwaith o osod tri chaban manyleb uchel, gan roi profiad glampio moethus i westeion a golygfeydd godidog o'r Pen-y-fâl a chopaon Ysgyryd. Dyma ein hail fuddsoddiad, ar ôl darparu benthyciad o £110,000 yn flaenorol ym mis Awst 2023 i ran-ariannu tŷ haf newydd ar gyfer mwy o seddi. ‘Cawsom ein cyflwyno’n wreiddiol i’r Banc Datblygu gan Busnes Cymru. Mae eu cefnogaeth ar y cyd wedi bod o gymorth mawr i ni ddatblygu’r hyn rydym yn ei gynnig gyda gosod yr hafdy newydd a’r porthdai,’ meddai Nick ac Amy. ‘Y cam nesaf yw datblygu busnes manwerthu wrth fuddsoddi’n gyson yn ein tîm fel y gallwn barhau i ddenu a chadw’r bobl orau oll sy’n rhannu ein hymrwymiad i ddarparu gwasanaeth cwsmeriaid gwych’. Darganfyddwch fwy am eu hehangiad, a’u tafarn a bwyty sydd wedi’u lleoli yng nghanol Sir Fynwy: https://ow.ly/ViVa50VoN1o #HelpoddBancDat Abergavenny Town Council . Business Monmouthshire .
