As I begin the first week of my second year at university, I'm taking a moment to reflect on the past 17 weeks of summer I have spent interning. Immersing myself in these opportunities after my first year was a rewarding challenge. Although daunting at first it's been a whirlwind of growth—both personally and professionally. At Lounge, I gained invaluable skills in sales, communication, and teamwork—from engaging with clubs and societies across the UK to supporting the launch of their Canadian business. I’m incredibly grateful to the Lounge team for their support and commitment to developing our professional skills, and I’m excited to watch the app continue to grow ⚡️ My two weeks with Venn were equally transformative. I learned more than I anticipated about real estate lending and, perhaps more importantly, the power of building a great team. A huge thank you to everyone at Venn for your time, insights, and patience with my many questions. Now, onto planning my placement year 🌟

It's a sad day at Lounge today 😢 Because we're saying farewell... 👋 Adam Bissett, Aila Grant and Daniel Shephard, three of our fantastic cohort of interns are leaving us to head back to university. 💔 It's been an absolute pleasure to have them join us. They've brought the energy over the last few months, helping other students get the most out of Lounge! ⚡ It's also been amazing to have our student users become interns this summer and we wish them all the best in the new academic year 🎓
