Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending Meta's latest 'In Case You Missed It' event. It was an incredibly insightful afternoon focused on platform updates and best practices for #creators. 💫Key takeaways included...💫 📈Performance Metrics: Instagram is unifying performance metrics, with views now serving as the primary consumption metric. 💡Innovative Features: Meta is testing exciting new features like Content Trials and Creator AI, which promise to enhance the creator and audience experience. 🔍Reels Algorithm: Each content type on Instagram operates on a different algorithm. For Reels, the focus is on reaching new audiences. Plus, integrating music into static posts can boost visibility in the Reels tab! 🤝Community Engagement: We heard how to build more integrated communities using Broadcast channels, including a new feature that allows creators to reply directly to their audiences. Bel Merid and Lauren Whilby addressed pressing questions about the algorithm, strategies for building UK-based audiences, and how to support creators on the platform.
