When a brand has inspired generations of designers, their digital presence should do the same. Here’s how we transformed GF Smith from paper supplier to creative catalyst: 🖋️ Content meets craft: merging TEMPLO’s vision with digital storytelling that guides you straight to the perfect paper. 📄 Paper comes alive: interactive elements that let you feel the texture and quality of GF Smith papers through your screen. 🤓 Simple yet inspiring: reimagined navigation that turns browsing papers into a creative journey. Crafting a design system for the company that defined color in print meant rethinking what’s possible on screen. Here's some of the technical craft behind GF Smith’s new digital home: 🌈 Color theming: a unified system managing 40+ color themes, inspired by Colorplan’s unmatched vibrancy. 🛠️ Storyblok logic: a visual interface streamlines content creation, allowing teams to easily bring the brand to life. 📏 Flexible components: intelligent spacing, typography, and layout rules maintain brand integrity while fostering creative freedom. It’s rare to work with a brand that's shaped creative history for over 100 years. Even rarer to help reimagine their digital future. Here’s how we brought GF Smith’s iconic papers to life in the digital space: 🌈 Living logo: interactive brand mark that shifts and responds as you explore. 📄 Digital touch: custom 3D paper physics lets you ripple and flex Colorplan's colors with your cursor. 💻 Fluid motion: smooth transitions that mirror the natural flow of paper throughout the site. ⚡️ Do we need to design for speed, or for richness? In Design Week’s end-of-year feature, our founder Tudinh Duong 👋 spoke to Rob Alderson to explore the importance of slower, richer, and more purposeful design in a world obsessed with “more, faster, now.” How can we create experiences that embrace friction, reflection, and depth? A thoughtful read to close out 2024. Thanks again to team Zetteler for the connect. Link in comments 🔗

Exploring the art of collaboration 🔥 What makes a partnership truly work? This question was at the heart of a fireside chat hosted by Made by ON, and featuring leaders from London Design Festival, TEMPLO, and The Positive Internet Company. Here’s what we uncovered: 💡 Creativity is the spark. “Creativity is what sets the best collaborations apart; it’s what keeps the work fresh and exciting.” — Anoushka Rodda, TEMPLO 🤝 Trust makes teams stronger. “It’s not just about doing the work; it’s about keeping the dialogue open so everyone feels heard and invested.” — Rebecca Mitchell, London Design Festival 🌿 Good design is more than aesthetics. “Good design is how it works, how it performs, and how it makes people’s lives better.” — Nick Mailer, The Positive Internet Company ✨ Empathy unlocks potential. “It takes empathy and real understanding to balance ambition with reality, but that’s where the magic happens.” — Rebecca Mitchell, London Design Festival 🌍 Purpose drives impact. “Collaboration isn’t just about great ideas: it’s about solving real problems together, and doing it with purpose.” — Anoushka Rodda, TEMPLO When creativity, trust, and purpose come together, partnerships unlock their true potential. It’s not just about the work we do, but the progress we achieve, and the relationships we build along the way. Thanks again to all of the participants for their time and insights 🙏

🎉 We’re thrilled to share that our founder Tudinh has been featured in The Guardian’s Design Highlights for 2024! Tudinh Duong 👋 chose The British Library’s Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music exhibition, celebrating the intersection of music, culture, and innovation. This powerful showcase brought centuries of history to life through interactive design and multimedia storytelling. A standout moment? The tribute to Jamal Edwards and SBTV, spotlighting how digital creativity transformed an entire industry. Last night we attended The Ember Co.’s event in London, focussing on consumer brands looking for actionable insights on how to grow. Our panel was centred around composable commerce — a flexible and modular approach to technology that empowers organisations to evolve their digital business functions, at speed and scale. We’ll be sharing insights — alongside our partners Saleor Commerce, Pendula and Young With Solutions — from the panel soon.
The boundaries between brand, data, and personalised experiences are blurring. With this comes the next gen of composable commerce — a more flexible and modular approach that empowers organisations to deliver and evolve digital business functions, at speed and scale. It is no longer a distant future, it’s happening right now. I had such fun moderating and learning from such a brilliant panel, all who are at the forefront of this space and developing approaches for brands to stay ahead of the curve with composable commerce. Big shout out and thank you to my panellists: Simon Bloom the Commercial Growth Director for Pendula in the UK & EMEA, bringing over 20 years of expertise in customer engagement and digital transformation. With Pendula, a pioneer in proactive customer engagement since its founding in Australia, Simon plays a key role in helping clients achieve seamless, personalised interactions at scale. Dmytri Kleiner the Chief Experience Officer at Saleor Commerce the #1 enterprise open-source intelligent commerce engine for global brands. Timoté Chanut with over 32M likes, a leading voice in marketing and the founder of an award-winning TikTok agency. Also massive shout out to Matt Jung and The Ember Co. for making it happen. Thanks to Katarzyna Chys for the photo 📷

We’re dedicated to delivering scalable creative technology solutions that support our clients and partners growth ambitions and value-creation efforts. Our recent work with the Scape team recently saw the launch of Meanwhile Group — a global, fully integrated platform, developing and managing residential real estate throughout the investment cycle. Meanwhile houses the Scape and Morro brands and builds on years of success including management of £7bn in gross assets and 30,000 global beds. Over the past three years we’ve delivered a series of major launches and ongoing optimisation efforts for Scape, The Bon and The Guild for Morro and now, the Meanwhile masterbrand (working alongside Made Thought and The Playground), as we continue to create stronger connections between each website and their property management systems. Our work continues to express one of Meanwhile’s central tenets — the concept of designing from the inside out — focussing on how digital products and services are used, how they can intelligently adapt to changing needs, and how we can help enhance the overall experience.
