After weeks of hard work and preparation from colleagues across the business, our Solihull team toasted the launch of their new store this morning – our second opening in the space of a week.   The 3,450 sq ft unit in Dominion Court is perfectly placed within just half a mile of Touchwood Solihull Shopping Centre, and stocks our award-winning range of more than 1,200 wines, plus beers, spirits and low and no alcohol options. Huge thanks to Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP, Member of Parliament for Solihull West and Shirley, who joined us to cut the ribbon and officially declare Majestic Solihull open for business – just in time for local wine lovers to stock up for Christmas!  Majestic CEO John Colley said: “Solihull is a location we’ve been targeting for some time as part of our expansion plans, so we are delighted to be bringing our award-winning wines and expert knowledge to the town just in time for the festive season. Did somebody say Just Eat? Majestic customers can now order from hundreds of our award-winning wines through the Just Eat app, for delivery in as little as 30 minutes. The partnership has launched from 43 Majestic stores this week, and will roll out to a total of 177 Majestic locations across the UK before Christmas – just in time to help wine lovers stock up during their festive celebrations. The collaboration with Just Eat Takeaway.com adds to Majestic’s existing rapid fulfilment partnerships as we target further growth in the fast-growing online and on-demand channels. We’re open for business in Banstead! There were no tricks but plenty of treats for our first customers today as we were joined by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, Cllr Eddy Humphreys, to cut the ribbon on our newest Majestic branch – the 20th new store we have opened since our acquisition by Fortress Investment Group. We’ve completely transformed an old bank in the heart of Banstead High Street into a smaller format wine emporium, stocking almost 1,200 wines, plus premium beers, spirits, low and no alcohol alternatives, soft drinks and snacks. Our experienced and highly qualified team will be hosting free wine tastings seven days a week from the in-store Tasting Counter, and offering services including free glass hire and our unique ‘No Quibble Guarantee’, which allows customers to return any wines they don’t like in exchange for a bottle of equivalent value. The store also has its own dedicated delivery van, fulfilling online orders to the local community. What a monumental effort today from eight of our colleagues, who battled everything the elements could throw at them in Jersey to complete our fourth-annual charity cycling challenge. After a sunny start to the ride, the intrepid team battled 50-kilometre per hour winds, torrential rain, treacherously slippery roads, and overcame falls and broken bike chains to raise vital funds for the new Majestic Charitable Foundation. Our cyclists covered a combined distance of almost 500km, with an overall elevation of more than 2,400ft – more than earning their celebratory glasses of fizz and bottles of beer awaiting them at the finish line, at our store in St Helier. Also greeting our riders at the store was Pam Aubert, Chief Executive of Jersey Cancer Relief – one of the charities the Majestic Charitable Foundation is supporting this year, alongside The Brain Tumour Charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably and Child Bereavement UK. Majestic CEO John Colley said: “I’m so proud of the incredible effort and determination our colleagues showed today. I’ve been cycling for years and those are some of the worst conditions I've ever experienced.
