    Unlocking the Potential of AI in Financial Services – lessons from Deloitte Haus in Davos, how does it relate to talent? I had the pleasure to attend this event hosted by Neal Baumann. Businesses are over the POC phase, 2025 is the year where business leaders want to see results from AI, great! Act 1: Basic AI automation, document summation, automating loan approval processes etc. Act 2: AI Agents, functional AI agents working across processes. Act 3: The future will tell us : ) Takeaways from a Data & AI recruiter perspective regarding leadership roles in 2025. ·      Leaders must prioritize Data & AI Governance and understand which guardrails they need and exactly how AI should be implemented, especially in regulated industries. ·      Data Quality is key, AI models are only as good as your data. Data must be updated regularly to give confidence on data driven decision making. ·      Leaders must create a culture that rewards people for finding ways to improve their job function with AI. ·      Leaders must have a strategy to upskill teams to enable them to do more value-added tasks. ·      Leaders should always consider how to measure customer experience improvements and productivity/profitability benefits from AI. ·      Leaders must promote a culture of continuous learning. ·      Keep it simple, be clear on what you want to achieve and how it benefits everyone. ***When screening candidates for Data & AI leadership roles, we look for evidence of the following (among others)*** ·      Communication skills ·      Understanding of the importance of data quality and how to ensure it. ·      Ability to create a clear vision. ·      Understanding of the importance of Data & AI governance. ·      Ability to impact culture. ·      Change management ability. This links to the core skills many businesses have identified as most important for 2025-2030 in the WEF Future of Jobs Report 2025, for example: ·      Leadership and social influence ·      Curiosity and lifelong learning ·      Technological literacy ·      Analytical thinking ·      Continuous learning ***As recruiters it’s important to look for evidence of these core skills too.     Augmented Intelligence – Another lesson from the AI House Davos – How does talent fit in? We had the pleasure of sitting in on a talk at the AI House Davos yesterday, where speakers such as Daniele Iacovelli, Barbara Frei-Spreiter and others shared their insights on augmented intelligence and other themes around AI. I learnt a new word. FOBO. Fear of Being Obsolete! Augmented Intelligence could be seen as the answer to this for many, alongside upskilling and cultural change in organisations. My takeaways from a Data & AI Recruiter perspective. When it comes to AI, companies may have been too technology driven in the past. It's now more important than ever to show business value when it comes to AI use cases. In order to do that, companies need talent who can translate business needs into technical solutions. **We expect to see Data & AI Translator roles increase.** People are a key barrier to AI transformation, either from a culture standpoint or from a lack of talent perspective. **Companies with an attractive career journey for AI talent, compelling vision, exciting goals and upskilling programs will attract and retain AI talent more effectively.** Companies are losing a lot of time when validating and testing AI models. **We expect an increased demand for AI Model Validators ** Lack of trust and knowledge management challenges often limit the collection of good data needed for GenAI. **We expect an increased need for Data & AI leaders who can drive cultural change and solve knowledge management challenges, combined with increased need for Data & AI Governance and Data Quality experts.** AI use cases are becoming more and more cross functional. **We expect a continuing high demand for Data & AI Product Managers and Product Owners.** FAIR architecture is needed at scale, otherwise companies can get stuck at POC stage. **This could indicate an increased demand to Knowledge Graph experts to support FAIR data principles.** Alongside all the note taking and interesting conversations, we still had time to determine who has the best sunglasses in Davos ; ) Christiane Jauch Stefan Sambol MM Mahmood Maqbool Mahmood. #davos #WEF MAM Gruppe Jake Miller-Chapman Max Sanders John Leslie Essuah-Mensah

    How do you engage & retain AI Talent? A lesson from the AI House Davos at the World Economic Forum events. It was a pleasure meeting our partner Dr. Stefan Sambol from OMMAX with MM Mahmood and Maqbool Mahmood. We’re excited for the continued partnership with the MAM Gruppe! We also attended an insightful round table at the AI House Davos yesterday. How do you engage and retain AI Talent? This question was put to the speakers. Strategies included: -           Building strong partnerships at the university level. -           Investing in infrastructure first so you can offer an environment where AI talent can experiment and develop their skills. (Reminds me of the movie “...build it, and they will come." 😊) -           Have a mission that excites people to be a part of. As Data & AI recruiters, it’s important to understand from our partners the vision and the platform they can offer for career development.
