We recently submitted our plans to Glasgow City Council for the redevelopment of a redundant and outdated office building at 285 Bath Street to provide much-needed purpose-built student accommodation. Situated in the city centre of Glasgow, 285 Bath Street will bring forward 231 rooms along with associated amenities. It is ideally located within walking distance of several universities, including the Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Strathclyde University. Scottish architecture studio Manson's revised designs, which incorporate feedback received during the public consultation, aim to deliver a sustainable building with a modern and distinctive design that complements the surrounding area. The plans also include a publicly accessible ground-floor area, which is being offered to local groups as a community space, café or retail unit. McLaren Property's divisional managing director, David Atherton, said: "We are grateful for the level of engagement from the local community throughout the consultation process to bring this city centre site back into active use.
