😍 Our recent #ThirstFor events were a great chance to meet some of our producers and learn even more about their wines! 🍷 Here's Hamish MacGowan, creator and head winemaker of Angus The Bull, introducing us to their top flagship wine, Black Angus. This Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is only produced in the very best vintages, with grapes planted on the prized ancient red Cambrian soils of Heathcote, an exceptional vineyard site renowned for producing wines of concentration and purity, combined with restrained structure and balance. 👉 When it comes to winemaking, Angus The Bull’s philosophy is to make the absolute, hands-down perfect accompaniment for a prime piece of beef. 🎃 It's exactly one week until #Halloween! 👻 With a range of styles to suit every taste, rum is one of the most popular spirits to use in spooky serves. Research from CGA has found that there is a trend towards premiumisation, with premium rums gaining a 1.5% share of volume sales in the on-trade. 🙌 Enter Captain Morgan Black Spiced, a darker, bolder take on a spiced rum. This exceptionally smooth premium black spiced spirit boasts a full-bodied flavour with notes of vanilla, black cherry, and caramel. Serve with ginger beer in a 'Black Spiced Ginger Lime' for a spicy, citrusy burst of flavour. Diageo

🌍 To the team at Graham Beck it is imperative that their commitment to quality and integrity in pursuing the "perfect bubble" involves the long-term safeguarding of the health of our planet. 🍃 They have established pioneering programmes to nurture, protect and conserve their precious natural heritage, while continuing to craft Cap Classiques of class, distinction and excellence. Some of these initiatives include recycling all the sewage water from the farm and cellar, which amounts to about 3 million litres per month. All the recycled water is utilised for the irrigation of their vineyards. 💚 Committed to ‘tread lightly on the earth’, they follow minimal intervention practices in their vineyards and cellar. For every 1 hectare used for agriculture and wine production, 8 hectares of natural vegetation are conserved. And they use approximately 500 tons of grape pulp (pomace) annually as organic fertiliser in the vineyards. 🌿 Graham Beck was one of the first farms to be awarded WWF Conservation Champion Status, and together with 27 neighbouring farms, they started the Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy on 30 November 2006, a geographical area affiliated and registered with Cape Nature. 🥂 Raise a glass to our October #ImpactWinemaker, Graham Beck!

👻 With the #Halloween celebrations right around the corner, help make your customers’ nights out feel special by serving some premium sips that are all treat and no trick! 🌵 As tequila continues to soar in popularity, more people are exploring the complex tastes of Reposado tequilas, which currently hold a 45.6% share of tequila sales. Elevate your serves with Patrón Reposado, that is aged in oak barrels for over two months to give it a perfect balance of fresh agave and oak wood with subtle fruit, citrus and honey notes. How about mixing up a 'Paloma Roja?' 🍸 To make, add 60ml Patron Reposado, 75ml grapefruit juice, 15ml lemon juice, 15ml elderflower liqueur, and 15ml hibiscus syrup into a shaker with ice. Shake to chill and combine. Strain into a salt & dried hibiscus-rimmed collins glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with orange zest. 🍊 Bacardi

😍 We loved being able to catch up with customers and suppliers at our recent #ThirstFor events! 👏 Here's Craig telling us a little more about the fantastic Columbia Crest Winery from Washington State. Founded in 1982, Columbia Crest was the very first winery in the famed Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Since then, their unwavering passion for crafting wines of outstanding quality has earned unparalleled global acclaim for their vintages. The team builds on that legacy with every harvest, honouring the rich heritage of Washington wine in every bottle. Ste. Michelle Wine Estates COLUMBIA CREST WINERY
