We’re thrilled to share a story from Jenna Dienn of Castlebridge Hospitality about her amazing experience with Metro Bank. Jenna highlights the valuable support from Relationship Manager Andy Stone, who is always there to help. Together, we are committed to building businesses that serve our community.
About us
At Metro Bank, we do banking differently. We're award-winning people-people, and to us, there's nothing more important than going above and beyond for our customers – in fact, we’re on a mission to become the nation’s best community bank. We started out in 2010 with just one store in the centre of London, and we’re now based in towns and cities all over the UK. Our stores open earlier and close later than the rest, every day of the week. We’ve made sure it only takes minutes, not days, to open a Current Account online or in person – we even print brand new debit cards in store. And there's more, like our drive-thru banking, on-the-counter dog treats, and annual craft events that are bags of fun for the whole family. As well as the personal and business banking services we offer, we pride ourselves on our culture. At Metro Bank we hire for attitude and train for skill, because we believe in our colleagues’ potential. If you’re a people-people person, take a look at our vacancies today. Supporting our customers, colleagues and communities is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth and this year’s theme #ReclaimingNarratives by spotlighting and recognising the achievements and successes of the black community. At Metro bank, we have a fantastic colleague inclusion network – MBrace, that helps to create an inclusive space for our colleagues from black and ethnic minority backgrounds. #BHM2024

As part of our England Cricket partnership, Jo Busuttil and Gem Hayns saw their brand up in lights at their local cricket ground in Southampton during the England Women vs New Zealand series, they talk about what that opportunity meant to them. https://lnkd.in/e5aA9xjC

We hosted our first Metro Bank Business Networking event– In Partnership with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) at our Piccadilly store this week. We wanted to bring the worlds of professional sport and business together, exploring the parallels seen in both by inviting cricket legends Lydia Greenway and Graham Gooch to talk with new and existing business customers about their inspiring careers. After the panel and Q&A, attendees had the opportunity to network with fellow business owners and connect with our Local Business Managers to find out more about our relationship-based approach to business banking. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event a huge success!

We champion women in cricket and in business. During the England Women vs New Zealand series this summer, we gave three of our female entrepreneur customers the chance to put their brand centre stage at their local cricket ground. Watch Sophie, Jo, Gem and Jennifer's story, and be inspired to think what you could be capable of. We recently hosted a networking event with England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) at Lord’s Cricket Ground to welcome a group of women who have all applied to become ECB Coach Developers in 2024.
