About us
Our product intents to radically disrupt the relationship between the insurer-owner-surveyor by decoupling the need for travel from a surveying process and creating a data-centred tool. mir is a computer vision app that offers harmonised condition assessment. We have developed deep learning models that detect most common defects found on vessels. This will be leveraged by Recommendation Engine which contextualises knowledge and provides expert advice when and where is needed.

Perhaps I am last at the mark, but the memories of last week remain vividly printed in my retinae: Our St Christopher has been lauded the winner of Mediterranean CIM Championship 2023 in the Classic Marconi category with 47 yachts competing for the podium. The qualifying races took place in France, Spain and Italy. 🏆 🥇 Last week brought also the first place at the Les Voiles d’Antibes 2024. We cooked up a wonderful team spirit with a crew of 7 nations bringing in 5 naval architects, two marine lawyers, a superyacht manager, a broker, a data scientist, .. and also perhaps a pianist! All entrepreneurs and unapologetic trail-blazers… the salt of life is addictive! What a great team!! I travelled to Malta for the 11th Opportunities in Superyachts seminar and came back… with legos. Metaphorical, that is. Great talk by Jeroen van den Hurk from Van Berge Henegouwen (VBH) on building value through innovation. Jeroen observes that our human brains like patterns and repetitions, but new construction blocks are needed to establish new pathways and technological solutions. In the maritime industry, so conservative and risk-averse, the golden question is how to encourage that shift? Through a compelling business case?
