Low-cost direct air capture | Affordable at any scale | Bridging CO2 demand and supply
About us
We are reinventing carbon for a thriving planet. Since 2020, we've rapidly pioneered versatile Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology to remove historic CO₂ emissions from the atmosphere — anywhere, at any scale. Supported by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, the XPRIZE Foundation, Stripe, and the UK government, we've moved a brand new climate technology from lab to commercial plants in under three years to rapidly empower carbon removal and utilisation pathways.

“The cost of atmospheric CO2 must hit $100 per tonne to be economically viable” – a line we’ve heard on repeat from DAC companies, investors, and industry bodies alike. But where did this number come from and how useful is it? More practically, what is required to drive down the cost of DAC as quickly as possible? Learn more ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eX6Q94nZ

Scaling direct air capture in line with Net Zero targets is a major undertaking — one that relies heavily on supportive policy. As we begin integrating our second DAC system at O.C.O Technology Ltd’s Norfolk site, it’s hard to understate just how transformative ambitious policymaking and investment can be. This system is entirely funded by the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero through their pioneering UK Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) Technologies competition — which made us one of the first companies to receive UK government funding for DAC. Their early-stage investment and support has been catalytic for our rapid growth journey, setting us up to scale a powerful climate technology in the 2020s, so that it can exist at the scale required in the 2030s and 2040s.
