It was great to meet and discuss industry challenges with so many naval marine professionals at Navy Leaders Naval Damage Control. Pete Litchfield and Stuart Bedward shared insights on how our cable transits and pipe penetrations offer critical solutions that enhance vessel survivability by reducing noise signatures and improving recoverability, ensuring ships remain fully operational in the most challenging environments. We were also delighted to share the stage with Daniel Dobrowolski from Coltraco Ultrasonics, discussing the innovative use of ultrasonics in naval projects to enhance safety and resilience. Our Naval Damage Control event has officially come to a close. Apart from hearing some interesting talks about damage control and fire retardant foam, we heard about the potential revolutionary practice of lean manning and robotics from Lieutenant Commander Chris de Ron and Professor David Manley. Lt. Commander Ron, laid out a future in which a country wouldn’t have to create enough space for crew on certain vessels and Professor Manley contended that investment into robotics and further automation is an investment into a country’s future military capabilities. See you next year!
