After a month in dock at Portsmouth Naval Base, HMS Dauntless has set sail again to test its sea readiness. The Dauntless belongs to the Type 45 Daring destroyer class and is one of Britain’s newest ships. 'Autonomous Systems and the Future of Seabed Warfare: Insights from BAE Systems' Scott Jamieson' In this interview, Scott Jamieson, Managing Director of Maritime Services at BAE Systems, discusses the rapidly evolving field of seabed warfare. He highlights the growing importance of protecting critical undersea infrastructure and the development of autonomous systems as key enablers in undersea operations. Jamieson explains BAE's focus on autonomous underwater vehicles, like the extra-large autonomous vehicle Herne (XLAUV), which will soon undergo trials.
