Award-winning giving platform that helps businesses donate volunteer time, money and surplus to local good causes.
About us
Neighbourly is an award-winning giving platform that helps businesses make a positive impact in their communities by donating volunteer time, money and surplus products, all in one place. We were founded in 2014 with the aim of helping businesses deliver meaningful and sustainable community investment, into thousands of locations across the UK and Ireland. We believe that by putting local impact at the heart of responsible business we can create a system that works for everyone. We’ve grown into an award-winning, market leading CSR platform that serves some of the world's biggest companies and supports thousands of local good causes working to improve lives and habitats in our neighbourhoods. In 2015 we became one of the UK’s very first B Corporations, meaning we’re a for-profit company certified by the non-profit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social responsibility and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Being a B Corp underpins our core values and belief that business can be a force for good. Together with our fellow B Corps around the world we are redefining how sustainable communities are built and what success in business means. In 2020 we were accredited by the Good Business Charter, launched the Neighbourly Foundation to provide continued financial support to local community causes. The Neighbourly Foundation is now a Marks & Spencer Sparks Charity. We’re pleased to be supporting Aldi UK with their newly launched back-to-school fund, which will help families with the expense of buying lunch-box essentials and after-school snacks for the new school year. Having found that 73% of parents admit to worrying about costs related to their children’s schooling at the start of the academic year, Aldi will be giving 100 parents the chance to apply for a £100 voucher, as well as donating £20,000 through Neighbourly to partnered good causes, including schools and nurseries.

Our mission is to prove that by reducing environmental impact whilst creating social value, businesses can succeed in creating positive impact. However, barriers such as paying VAT on end-of-the-line products they wish to donate, often restrict what businesses can do to support communities. Neighbourly COO Zoë Colosimo says that the new Labour Government must support circular economy goals in order to achieve positive social impact, but where should they start? Have you heard about our DigitalBridge volunteer campaign? 💻 The project aims to deliver digital support and AI knowledge into our charity network - helping leaders and managers of small charities and community organisations to upskill, expedite digital tasks and build knowledge in Generative AI. We've teamed up with Microsoft and a number of our corporate partners to provide access, through remote volunteering, to training and support to help with digital tasks and learning. Thanks for the shout out Good Impact Group (GIG) 💙
Neighbourly has launched a new "DigitalBridge" initiative to empower charity leaders with AI and digital skills. Through remote volunteering, the campaign offers training in everything from Generative AI and content creation to digital tools like Excel and PowerPoint. Recent events in the UK have highlighted the critical importance of standing united in our pursuit for equality, inclusivity, and connection. It is crucial, now more than ever, to support those who may feel unsafe or have been affected by the unacceptable anti-immigrant and far-right violence within our communities. If you have been affected by the recent disturbances and are in need of assistance, or you are a member of a business who wishes to help, please get in contact via the link in our comments.
