On Monday 5th August, Network Rail Consulting’s (NRC) Director, Asset Management & Maintenance Richard Tullo, delivered an engaging presentation on ‘Intelligent Infrastructure - Insight’ to members of the Australian Rail at Connect Rail 2024 in Sydney, Australia. Richard commented: “I had the pleasure of providing a high-level overview of the program and how Intelligent Infrastructure is a digital transformation programme focused on turning data into intelligent information and how it’s moving Network Rail towards predictive maintenance, improving asset management, and driving better services for passengers and freight customers. The presentation received positive feedback, with some finding it inspiring. What’s inspiring is the amazing team in the UK that has developed and implemented this fantastic system. I was only the messenger who believes this is the future”. About us
Our Rail Experts Have Transformed The Performance Of Britain’s Railway…They Can Help You Transform Yours Network Rail Consulting is the wholly owned international consultancy arm of Network Rail, the owner and operator of Britain’s mainline railway. Uniquely, Network Rail Consulting has access to the full range of technical expertise and experience within Network Rail. In delivering operational, maintenance, planning and technical services for the UK railway, Network Rail Consulting’s consultancy team makes available the comprehensive technical expertise and operational experience of Network Rail. Network Rail, the owner and operator of Britain’s rail infrastructure, has transformed the country’s railways. We’ve revitalized our aging infrastructure, built world-class track, signals & stations and modernized our operations. Today, we help people take more than 1.8bn journeys by rail every year. In Britain, the operation of railway infrastructure is separated from the operation of train services - Network Rail owns and operates Britain’s railway infrastructure. Our railway network is heavily used by 28 train-operating companies and 7 freight-operating companies - the most open railway in the world. Network Rail’s job is to keep it running every day and continuously maintain, enhance and expand the network. Our main responsibility is to accommodate many train operators on our network, whose performance depends on ours. We’re investing £47bn in the railway by 2024 to deliver a more reliable, safer and efficient railway.

This week (27th May – 3rd June) marks National Reconciliation Week (NRW) and Network Rail Consulting (NRC) is proud to support this year’s theme ‘Now More Than Ever’. Reconciliation Australia said ‘National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.’ For more information on how you can support and raise awareness, click the link below. https://lnkd.in/d3hGDGY6 #NRW2024 #NowMoreThanEver #NetworkRailConsulting #NRC #RailConsulting
The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will —and must —continue. There have been many moments in Australia’s reconciliation journey that make us want to turn away. But when things are divisive, the worst thing we can do is disengage or disconnect. Now more than ever, we need to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation. We know that the 6.2 million Australians who voted YES are committed to better outcomes for First Nations people, and are with us. Reconciliation supporters must stand up to defend and uphold the rights of First Nations peoples. To call out racism wherever we encounter it, and to actively reinforce the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across this continent. Now more than ever, the work continues. In treaty making, in truth-telling, in understanding our history, in education, and in tackling racism. We need connection. We need respect. We need action. And we need change. Now more than ever, we need reconciliation. 📌Learn more and access #NRW024 resources: https://lnkd.in/d3hGDGY6 #Reconciliation #NowMoreThanEver Carbon Creative (Australia)

Thank you to the team at US High Speed Rail Association for hosting this year’s High-Speed Rail 2024 conference, it was a great experience for Network Rail Consulting (NRC) Mark Pettigrew, Graham Beal, Andrew Mitchem and Ryan Scott who were in attendance. Ryan delivered a presentation on California High-Speed Rail’s Solar Power and Battery Strategy. Mark commented: 'What a great event and what incredible passion and commitment in the room towards realizing a connected high-speed rail system in the United States. The case is an easy one – it’s environmentally friendly, sustainable, affordable, safe, fun and not a replacement for cars and planes, but a timely extension to provide greater choice and free up capacity on our busiest interstates for freight and cars.'
