Anti-poverty charity Trussell created The Hardship Times to share powerful stories from food banks across the UK and call on the government to tackle hunger. Designed by If Not Now, the newspaper was handed out around Westminster and featured in an end-of-year social media campaign. Tailored editions for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland helped connect with MPs and support local advocacy 💪 Printed on our tabloids: https://lnkd.in/dEyTKwd

Earlier this month we were thrilled to sponsor a newspaper exploring how print and digital art can work together 📱🤝🗞️ Designed by Mark Baker-Sanchez and artist Molly Dickson for a gallery show and sold-out talk at the Dallas Society of Visual Communications, the tabloid features Molly’s surreal collages - plus QR codes that bring them to life on phone screens. “Molly’s pieces are so fun and engaging, and I wanted to create a take-home version of the show for attendees,” says Mark. “Newspaper is unexpected for this type of experience. Professors have even requested copies to show students how print can push the boundaries of digital art!” Printed on our digital tabloids: https://lnkd.in/dccJhbf

Designer Pablo Delcán, a visual contributor to the New York Times, recently developed what he calls a “completely useless yet amazing” desktop app. Press a button and Face 1.0 generates a unique face from simple geometric shapes – something of an antidote to the realism of emojis. This mini zine, printed on salmon newsprint, captures the first 30 faces it generated. “There’s something so rewarding about printing something from a computer-generated graphic,” says Pablo. “Bringing the digital into the physical world!” Printed on our digital minis: https://lnkd.in/dYGXQj8

Creative design can help lift the heaviest work. Everytown for Gun Safety, a non-profit working to end gun violence, created this newspaper to spark conversations at their annual gathering in Washington D.C. “We had such overwhelmingly positive feedback,” says art director Sam West. “It brought levity and joy to an event with many heavy moments.” Printed on our broadsheets: https://lnkd.in/div3b6xw
