Vocational routes into employment are now being seen much more favourably by both parents and children alike, according to new research conducted by Enginuity UK. Additionally there is growing interest in #apprenticeships as a means to “earn while you learn.” Nearly 90% of parents and are now more interested in #vocational routes for their children to enter their chosen careers instead of the traditional university path. As for the children surveyed, 82% said they would be interested in more vocational routes to enter their chosen career. This shift is largely driven by the escalating costs associated with university education. For many parents, the prospect of saddling their children with substantial debt is becoming less appealing. Fantastic this morning to see the coverage on BBC News on 'Results Day' 🥳 They were brilliant to emphasise it was A-Level, T-Level and BTEC Results day.👏 Hearing from the students at Burnley College who were all great. Well done Neil Burrows they did you proud.👏 Covering all Results options and the student discussing her T-Level results was brilliant at explaining the qual for those who had not heard of t-levels. So refreshing to see all qualifications covered and discussed.👏 Ben Rowland raising the profile of all options available. Reminding Young people to make informed choices about what's right for them. It was only Charlie who slipped up at one point and refereed to it as A Level results day. But definitely progress which is great, more on #apprenticeships next year would be even better. Great to see awareness of #Tlevels increasing Congratulations to all getting results today, these results do not define you. You will have a life of careers and enjoy ! 😁 and #engineering and #manufacturing is definitely something to explore ...
