Will Stratton-Morris, CEO of Caffè Nero UK, shared fascinating insights on their journey through digital transformation and diversification—from click & collect to app-based loyalty—demonstrating how deeper brand connections can be built by going beyond discounts to create genuine loyalty. Emma King of Hawksmoor spoke about their “surprise and delight” approach, rewarding customers through memorable, unexpected moments supported by data management behind the scenes. This strategy of creating standout experiences is key in building long-term loyalty. Neil Miller, Chief Customer Officer at itsu, shared Itsu’s digital journey while staying true to their mission of health and the butterfly effect. Neil’s insights highlight how a brand’s core values must remain central, even in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Finally, Rory Scallan, Commercial Director at Five Guys Europe, described their unique approach—an obsession with quality food and world-class service that eliminates the need for a loyalty programme.
