An insightful piece of content from NOCI’s Samuel Stanton on the phrase the ‘#BlueEconomy’ ⤵️
Recently, I’ve found myself on a journey to understand the Blue Economy and what it really means. Initially, I was a bit cynical—why rebrand the ocean economy with a sustainability label? But as I’ve delved deeper, my skepticism has faded somewhat. The Blue Economy seems to be proving an effective way to bring diverse stakeholders together, from ecologists to industry leaders, to share both challenges and solutions. Nature-based solutions for example, seek to harness what nature has already perfected, and in doing so foster multi stakeholder engagement from design to implementation. 🌱 Taking this theme further, I’m working on a new post from a recent conference on Nature Inclusive Design! 🔍
