It was a pleasure to meet Lady Victoria Borwick yesterday during her visit to Nottingham for English Tourism Week. Thank you to Visit Nottinghamshire and VisitEngland for giving us a platform to discuss our experiences of the region’s visitor economy and to discuss potential solutions to challenges the industry is facing. What was really exciting though, was the passion of everyone around the table and the sheer potential for growth in the city. Nottingham has a thriving sports, arts, culture and music scene and I am looking forward to helping champion everything our region has to offer. Happy International Women’s Day 💜 This year, we’re doing something a little different.... A team of brilliant brewing scientists from University of Nottingham has teamed up with Blue Monkey Brewery and Murphy & Son Ltd to craft a unique, bright pink beer, ‘Vida La Frida’ 🍺 With only 1,000 cans available, this limited-edition brew will be sold exclusively at Orchard Hotel, Jubilee Hotel & Conferences, and the East Midlands Conference Centre. Plus, for every can sold, £1 will be donated to Juno Women's Aid, supporting women, teens and children in need. And that's not all! Over the next week, we'll be shining a spotlight on the women who make up 60% of the Nottingham Venues team who will share their thoughts on International Women's day and what it means to them 🌟 #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay #UniversityofNottingham
