During my career, I have lived through many changes to the working environment, however, as I am now in a more mature phase (getting old!) the thing which worries me most is the mental health crisis we as a society are currently living through.  On a personal level, there's barely a family I know untouched in some way and on a business level, the impact is hugely significant.  As with everything, we can either complain about how bad things are or roll up our sleeves and try to find a way to help!   Today, we are proud to announce the launch of RE-Mind @ Muirfield, our Workplace Mental Health support program.  This program will combine workplace mental health support expertise alongside senior level business savvy professionals to deliver client businesses the following outcomes: • Developing the organisational mental health vision and communication strategy • Working with senior leaders and line managers on early identification of mental health warning signs • Working with leaders on key behaviours around Mental Health support - how can we still do the right thing when we have pressure to deliver on commitments? • Training in-house staff as Workplace Mental Health Support Champions • Providing an ongoing fully confidential staff support service This is an opportunity to do the right thing for staff while improving business performance - Deloitte research, based on validated examples, shows a return of £4.20 on every £1.00 spent on mental health support.
