😢 Sometimes, I feel like children are an afterthought—or worse, forgotten altogether—in design 😢 ♥ But when we truly put children at the centre, amazing things happen. At Ogma, we’re inspired by organisations that do just that, crafting solutions that nurture kids' growth and well-being. Here’s how leaders in the field are shaping the future with child-centred design. 🟥 LEGO Foundation: Learning Through Play The LEGO Foundation champions play-based learning. Through initiatives like RITEC, they show how play—whether physical or digital—can enhance children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. ⭐ Fam Studio: Designing for Wonder Fam Studio involves children directly in the design process, creating magical, interactive experiences that are both engaging and meaningful. At Ogma, we share this vision—our therapy tools are designed to be as fun as they are effective. 🔠 Sesame Workshop: Educating Through Entertainment Sesame Workshop has mastered the art of teaching through entertainment. With inclusive, research-backed shows like Sesame Street, they prove how thoughtful content can positively shape children's social and emotional skills. 🌱 IDEO: Human-Centred Design IDEO’s human-centred approach is rooted in empathy and co-creation. Their work with Sesame Workshop highlights the impact of design that puts children’s needs first, transforming educational environments. 🌎 Why Child-Centred Design Matters These leaders prove that when children are prioritised, the results are transformative. 🧒 Child-centred design at Ogma We're constantly inspired by the children we work with here at Ogma. Here's some snaps 📸 from one of our Discovery Den sessions with some 4-6 year olds. They helped us design their ideal therapist. From a crazy, fun puppy named Cupcake, with super powers of confidence and ideas 💡, to a Yin-full Minion full of strength and love 🧘♀️. Their ideas certainly opened up our minds and showed us new ways to design our therapeutic agents.
