  • We’ve today announced an agreement to sell all of our remaining customer portfolio to PE. PE is the UK’s largest independent B2B energy supplier, offering a comprehensive suite of services - including Water, Electric Vehicle Charging, Renewables, Carbon Offsetting, Smart Tech, Telecoms and Financial Solutions - all from a single provider. By bundling multiple services, businesses unlock significant cost savings, while PE’s transparent billing and smart monitoring software ensure complete control, efficiency, and tailored low-cost tariffs. With a focus on sustainability and profitability, PE helps businesses save time, cut costs, and drive long-term growth. Learn more at www.pe.solutions. We expect that the transfer of customer contracts to PE will take effect from May 2025. We’ll shortly be writing to our customers, as well as our TPI partners, informing them what this means for them. In the meantime, you can learn more on our dedicated support page to help you understand the changes further: https://lnkd.in/e7pgMvZX

  • Following our recent announcement, some Opus Energy colleagues will be looking for their next career opportunities.    We’re supporting our impacted colleagues in lots of ways, including two networking and careers events. These are on 7 and 13 August at Opus Energy House, Northampton.    These events will provide local employers and carefully selected recruitment agencies the opportunity to meet with potential candidates and discuss available vacancies.  There are a few remaining spaces for recruiters and local employers to exhibit. Please contact careers@drax.com.     Our amazing, experienced, multi-skilled colleagues have a range of Customer Operations, Sales, Strategy & Commercial, and Finance experience.     For more information about the announcement visit here https://lnkd.in/epuR2FeW   #opentowork #opportunties

  • Our "Brazilian carnival" themed summer social took place last week! The weather was sunny ☀, the food delicious 🌮 and the dancing energetic! 💃 We raised £1840 in raffle ticket sales for our three chosen charities - Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity, Off the Streets Northamptonshire and SENDS 4 Dads - with colleagues taking home amazing prizes including vouchers for European weekends away with Eurostar and lastminute.com ✈ 🌎 🌤 This makes our 2024 cash total for our chosen charities a whopping £4687 so far! 💰 Over the evening, colleagues signed an Opus energy memory book and we created a timeline to reflect on Opus energy through the years. 😁

  • Important information about Opus Energy We’ve signed an agreement to sell most of our customer portfolio to EDF – a trusted and reliable supplier to more than 300,000 small businesses across the UK. We expect that the transfer of customer contracts to EDF will take effect from Q3 2024. We’ve written to our customers, as well as our TPI partners, informing them what this means for them. For those customers whose contracts are not migrating to EDF nothing will change, and they don’t need to do anything. We'll be in touch with impacted customers in the coming weeks with more news, but you can learn more on our dedicated support pages to help you understand the changes further: Customers: https://lnkd.in/eRs8H96X TPIs: https://lnkd.in/e5eRHrVH

Then a wonderful panel on imagining a smarter future of CX with Hayley Monks MCICM (Grad) , Matt Pearson , Mike Gauterin and Russell Lane where we had a great discussion!! Second session was on Engaging the Energy customer. Neal Coady with a really engaging key note, followed by a presentation from Nick Emanuel , a keynote from Ritika Wattan . Looking forward to today where I will be on the red stage as part of the panel on “Building the modern utilities sector , A people driven journey” and then will be at the mentoring brunch to help inspire the next generation of mentors or helping people get onto their own mentee journey! See you there if you’re around come and say hi!
