Did you know that we give schools the opportunity to meet real scientists, from their own classroom? So far this academic year, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome 13,947 learners, from 28 local authorities, across 7 sessions for our online Meet the Scientist sessions- and there’s still more to come! 🌍 On 25th March, schools will get the chance to talk to meteorologist Heather Reid about all things weather, climate and meteorology. We’ll be hearing about the wonders of weather forecasting and how climate change is impacting us. What an incredible two days of our annual STEM Careers Showcase, welcoming over 1200 pupils and teachers from all over Scotland! 🌍 We had a fantastic line-up of over 30 exhibitors from leading research institutions and industry, offering invaluable insights and hands-on activities exploring careers in STEM. The Voices of Science panel featured inspiring speakers from a technologist and a volcanologist, to a digital engineer and a climate activist! Learners got to find out more about these amazing careers and what excites our panel about science. Our own Dynamic Earth astronomers shed a little reassurance and optimism about our planet’s future in a presenter-led Planetarium show.
