It was great to see the progress being made at the new Cambridgeshire Southern Police Station in #Milton this morning. Our Eastern transport planning team supported the planning application back in 2021 and continue to support the S278 process which received Technical Approval in November last year. Being just a stones throw from our Eastern Office we are keeping an eye on the progress on site and looking forward to completion. Sometimes our project involvements are extensive, and sometimes it just needs some quick but informative local expertise to respond to comments raised by planning / highways officers relating to matters like car parking in advance of an upcoming planning committee. Last week was just such an occasion, where an Addendum Parking Note was needed to justify the level of car parking required for a 70-bed care home and community hub for a luxury care home developer. The committee voted unanimously in favour of the development, and our note was specifically mentioned by members within their debate. #parkingcalculations #transportplanning #resolutiontogrant #paulbashamassociates

This week our Travel Plan Coordinators have been out delivering newsletters and travel surveys to some of our local TPC sites, The Haven in #Emsworth and Brookvale in #Havant. The newsletters provide residents with up-to-date travel information about their local area, along with promoting the many ways they could travel more sustainably. The resident surveys allow us to find out what residents want to hear more about, as well as allowing us to gain an understanding of the ways they currently travel. To find out how we may be able to support your TPC site, please contact us on 01329 711000 or info@paulbashamassociates.com. #PaulBashamAssociates #TPC #TravelPlanCoordination #SiteVisit #TravelSurveys

To celebrate the 9th anniversary of our Central office this month, we wanted to take the opportunity to shine a light on some highlights from the last year. There are too many successes to share them all, but thank you as always to all our clients and collaborators across the industry for enabling us to work on your projects. With lots of exciting schemes to come into the public domain this coming year, we can’t wait to reflect on a decade of success in January 2026! #transportplanning #central #oxford #oxfordshire #anniversary #success #collaboration

We were pleased to see the Government revive plans for the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor yesterday. The plans include for the delivery of key infrastructure to boost the UK economy by up to £78 billion by 2035. With offices in both Cambridge and Oxford for the last decade we have been helping to deliver new homes, employment sites and key community infrastructure including education and healthcare developments across the corridor. We are also supporting a number of life sciences and research and development schemes across the corridor including nationally significant developments which feed into the UK’s aspirations to be a ’science superpower’. These schemes include District East and The Press in Cambridgeshire and several large life science projects in Oxfordshire that are currently pre-planning. Since 2020 alone our transport planning and engineering teams in Oxford and Cambridge have assessed over 2.5 million sqft of employment, life science and research and development uses and over 30,000 dwellings across the corridor. We look forward to continuing to support landowners, developers, promoters and local authorities in the delivery of sustainable developments across the region. If you require transport planning advice for projects in the growth corridor, please contact James Rand (Oxford) or Will Fayers (Cambridge). #cambridge #oxford #transportplanning #civilengineering
