We were pleased to be in attendance at the husting with candidates for the 2025 #Cambridgeshire and #Peterborough Mayoral election in #Cambridge yesterday hosted by Lanpro and Turnstone Estates. With a significant change to the mayoral powers coming as a result of devolution each candidate identified the opportunities and challenges in the region and their priorities. As anticipated transport and connectivity were identified as a key priority by all candidates with a focus on achieving accessible and sustainable travel from areas outside of Greater Cambridge including the Fens and Peterborough. The potential for improvements to key highway routes alongside active travel and public transport improvements through rail, bus travel, and light rail and mass transit were debated by candidates from the Liberal Democrats, The Conservative Party and Green Party of England and Wales.  It is clear that, whatever the outcome of the Mayoral election in May, transport and connectivity will be one of the key issues for the incoming Mayor to tackle to achieve the sustainable growth required across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. 🏆 Match Report: Paul Basham Associates vs Rest of the World 🏆   It was a thrilling evening of football last night at Southampton Football Club's training campus, Staplewood. The Rest of the World came out on top 4-2! Despite some world-class keeping from Paul Basham, who made save after save, Rest of the World eventually broke the deadlock in the second half, thanks to some tactical changes from Rest of the World manager, Mark White.   Paul Basham Associates fought hard, and managed to level it to 1-1 but it was Rest of the World who found a rhythm, going on to lift the trophy in the end.    There were too many great players (and coaches!) to be mentioned here but we had a fantastic time with everyone involved. A special thanks to Oliver White at Saints for helping us arrange this event. Thank you as well to everyone who attended, making the event a special evening.   Great game, great fun—bring on next year! ⚽🙌
