We believe in putting experience at the heart of leadership development. 🌱 This program highlights a unique hybrid approach—a series of virtual workshops capped off with an immersive in-person event. 👥 The feedback from one founder was inspiring: "I believe I am a totally different founder after this program." Our focus on real, actionable learning means participants leave with tools and insights they can use from day one. ☝️ We’re incredibly grateful to Gibran Khan and Google for Startups for entrusting us with this opportunity to support such driven founders. 🙏 Special thanks to leaders like Manuel Marina Breysse (Idoven), Michelle Skodowski (BOTfriends), Bruno Farias de Souza (Neomed), and Del Smith, PhD (Acclinate) for your engagement and reflections along the way. 🤔 Together with our partners, we’re building purposeful, practical, and playful leadership experiences. 🚀

Power Up with Trustpilot 🚀 Here’s a throwback video showcasing the work we did with Trustpilot last year. We loved hearing what two 'Trusties' had to say about their experience—one from the client side and the other as a participant. 🎉 Everything we create for our partners and with our Playmakers is purposeful, practical and playful. ✅ For those who’ve worked with us before, what words come to mind when you think of People Playbook? 🙌

Why are we afraid at work? In this clip, Bret Freeman, MCC, FRSA, shares that when we lack human connection as leaders, we prevent our teams from showing up as their best selves at work. The solution? Value connection over content. Connect with your teams first. Make them feel heard and seen. This is how you can get the best out of your team and create a healthy working environment. If you’re a leader struggling to create a connected work environment, this episode is for you ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eqXvt3fn

I’ve been back in Barcelona again after quite a break, and it has been an eye opener to see how the city has changed since I came here to study Spanish in my twenties. It was a real joy to be interviewed by Tony McGaharan of People Playbook for TravelPerk ‘s Conversations with High Performers series. I shared on the topic of Getting the Best from your Introverts. As always the most rewarding part of any event is making new connections and this was no different. Thanks for our chats Felicia Norman-Williams, Lauren Andrews ACC, Débora Marcos Carmé, and Marta Diniz Clemente. It was fab meeting you! Co-interviewee Connor Swenson reminded me of the many useful concepts from the book Make Time and I loved having dinner with the talented People Playbook team - lots of laughs and bonding over stories. Last but not least, I’m so grateful to have had a chance to see my artistic friend Cristina Hernández Montero at her lovely co-working space in the centre of Barcelona. It must have been 5 years since we last met, during our days of socialising in London. I loved our catch up!! 💛🙏🏾 Barcelona - I hope to be back soon 👋🏾🇪🇸 #keynotespeaker #introvertinclusion #empathy

Conversations with High Performers 💬🎬🍿 When we started to explore how we could provide meaningful growth opportunities for the high performers across TravelPerk, we had to consider a number of key factors: 1️⃣ Scale — how do you effectively reach folks across the globe? 2️⃣ Function — how can you cater for all the various roles and teams represented? 3️⃣ Time — how can you maximize value without paying the price of a heavy time commitment? One of my favourite ways to learn is to hear from others’ experiences, their lessons learned, and times they got it wrong. These aspects are what I believe shape and expand the purely academic into true expertise. I’m going to be honest, I selfishly started our Three Points podcast with the purpose of creating my own learning opportunities 😂 Of course, I always hoped others would benefit from listening to (or watching) our incredible guests. We intentionally kept our episodes short (~30 mins) so that busy people (or those like me with a short attention span) could get the most value from a low time commitment. You can probably see where I’m going with this… 🔮 We curated a three part series called “Conversations with High Performers” which combines the best of Three Points with a curated guest list focused on what high performers in TravelPerk asked for. In each event, we can achieve the following: ✅ Scale — each in-person event is streamed live across the globe exclusively for all high performers. ✅ Function — all guests and topics are relatable, valuable and accessible for all types of roles/teams. ✅ Time — each event is ~2 hours with two guests engaging in a 30-min conversation and a separate Q&A (10-15 mins). There is a 20-min break in between for high performers to hydrate, caffeinate and connect with one another. We kicked off our first part yesterday in Barcelona with two brilliant guests and topics: 🧭 Following your career compass with Felicia Norman-Williams (VP of People, TravelPerk) 🤝 Emotionally Intelligent Negotiation with Tony Anagor (Author and Host of Empathy at The Table podcast) I’m so excited to share these with the rest of the world on our Three Points podcast 🌍 For now, we’re delighted to be taking part two to Birmingham next week. 👋 Shout out to the collaborative People Playbook x TravelPerk team behind the dream and those who make the magic happen: Donna Ross, Felicia Norman-Williams, David Stalker, Adam Ingle, Saoirse Coyle, Esther Mogada 🎬, Erin Elkin, Paula Ginés Marques, Marco, Emily, Daniel Shields 📸, Keelan Sexton 🎞️ and Lucy Robinson 🎸& Rebekah Fitch 🎹

What makes a great breakout? 🤷♂️ I thrive on learning from others' experiences, engaging in meaningful conversations, and hearing stories. That's why, when I'm in a workshop or team offsite, I get excited when I'm put into a breakout session – when they are purposeful and practical. However, I don't enjoy ("hate" might be more accurate) breakouts when they are poorly timed—either dragging on or feeling rushed—when I'm pushed into awkward (or intense) 1:1 conversations, or when the group is so overcrowded that it's impossible to contribute. Because of these painful experiences, I try desperately to avoid these traps when I’m facilitating leadership and team development by thinking about these three things 👇 What do you think? 🤔 I'm open to being challenged and agree that every rule has exceptions. --- I'm Tony, Founder of People Playbook - we create purposeful, practical and playful learning experiences for leaders and teams. 🙌 (Is this sign-off too forced and gimmicky? Help! 😅)
