Our Skills Assurance team has onboarded Syzygy Plasmonics to its eLearning platform, helping them to ensure the competency of employees working with hydrogen and ammonia. ⚡️ Syzygy Plasmonics, a US-based company, builds all-electric chemical reactors that use light instead of heat as the primary energy source. Our courses will support Syzygy in ensuring the competence of those in critical roles across its organisation. In support of OPRED’s challenge to Operators to demonstrate their ability to manage a prolonged environmental incident, we expanded our environmental response capability through the creation of our Environmental Response Support Team.   Well done to our environmental responders who were put to the test during a Tier 3 exercise, assessed by OPRED.   Our Environmental Response Support Team collaborated successfully with our Incident Management Team to deliver a well coordinated response to a demanding scenario. #EnvironmentalResponse #OilandGas #EmergencyResponse #OPRED #SOSREP

ERST Debut in Tier 3 SOSREP Exercise A fantastic experience participating in last week's OPRED assessed Tier 3 SOSREP emergency response training exercise at Marine House in Aberdeen. The coordination and teamwork on display proved what a valuable resource the team would be in responding to a pollution event. Petrofac passed the assessment, meeting the criteria from the regulator. Feedback from the Incident Management Team (IMT) was that the Environmental Response Support Team (ERST) was tremendously valuable in taking on the pollution response, freeing up the IMT to focus on source control. Spill response contractor Oil Spill Response Ltd attended and were invaluable in preparing modelling and advising on cleanup strategy. A huge thanks to all involved, the result is a credit to Petrofac Training Services ERCM team for preparing us all for the assessment through continuous training and exercises! Last week, the AOC team had the privilege of visiting Petrofac’s Emergency Response Service Centre (ERSC) located at Marine House. Accompanied by our media team from Bold St Media, this visit was a crucial component of our ongoing commitment to Emergency Response and Crisis Management preparedness. The visit provided us with a unique opportunity to engage with the ERSC team, fostering a deeper understanding of their facilities and capabilities. Guided by Mary Simpson we were given a detailed tour of the centre whilst gaining valuable insights into its operations. This was followed by an in depth induction by Steve Golightly CBCI, which focused on client support and the significance of collaborative efforts during critical situations. Our CEO, Richard Beattie, who was present at the visit, emphasised the importance of ensuring the safety of our personnel and the environment within which we operate. At AOC, these principles are integral to our values, and we consistently strive to uphold them. The ERSC training session proved to be an invaluable investment of our time, further reinforcing our ongoing knowledge and proficiency in emergency response protocols. #safety #healthandsafety #oilandgas #energy #northsea #environment Richard Beattie Callum Chesshire Alastair McNair Tamara La Fredo Eilidh McCluskie Louise Garden Mark Lenthall
